On the educational side of the show "Kitchen Nightmares" places that do everything rarely do any of it well. You rarely see mexican-chinese-fried chicken restaurants for a reason

But if global mean some kind of fusion cuisine they have spent time to get right...
Just checking the menu, they have non-fusion dishes from India, Vietnam, Peru, Mexico, Spain, Japan, Turkey, Korea, Portugal, South Africa, Morocco, Jamaica, England, Brazil, France, and Egypt.

Sounds confusing. I can see it working if they put out one or two solid dishes for each ethnicity that compliment each other rather than a page of dishes from each. Naan, basmati and tandoori chicken with fajitas or Korea bbq....? Could work.

I'm afraid I'm not very optimistic, but I may not be the target demographic. I find that a place might be able to make great gyros OR tacos, but a place that does both can't do either well. Sorry, but I don't want to eat at a restaurant that offers curry, coq au vin and enchiladas on the same menu.

Drinks on the other hand...

Strange Days Arrive in the River Market

Nathan Howard opened his international-theme microbrewery last weekend at 316 Oak St. after a couple of months delay awaiting city approvals.
...
Appropriately enough, the new microbrewery is located in a former Muehlebach Brewing warehouse. The 2,500 square-foot space can accommodate up to 185 people.

I like to think I stay up to date on places, but I've never heard of KC Taco Company until this afternoon.

http://www.kctacocompany.com/

Good stuff and nice vibe.

Walking past the old McClintocks? place made me wish somebody was still there. Another victim of "event space".

It is good. And pretty tiny. They have great margueritas, which is a rarity.

Parcel is currently zoned DC-15, which does not allow that use. They'll either need zoning change or variance -- which require a public hearing.
