Forum search sucks

The forum advanced search function that supposedly allows you to limit results by board actually does nothing. Please fix.

Plus the search itself is pretty bad. I tried searching for 'rendering' and the first 19 results did not have the word 'rendering'. Not very impressive.

Try prepending a google search with:

site:forum.kcrag.com:

like so...

This time, I've actually created a real, sanctioned google search thingie, and stuck it on the page. I'm still working on it, but I think it'll do for now.

What happened to the previous search built into SMF?  I liked it

The new search returns links to the mobile view of the forum, which kinda sucks.

I've heard this suggestion before, and I wonder where it comes from. For me the search, since this site first converted to SMF from phpBB a couple years ago, has been unbelievably useless. I will keep working on this.

there was a time where i was able to search and find specific posts i wanted.  then i could not find anything.  now there is a 7% likelihood i will find what i am looking for.

Right now, you can find what you're looking for, but you'll need to strip the ";wap2" off the end of the url to get the page to appear normal.

I've set up a robots.txt file. I think this might work. Can anybody confirm this?

What is with the text only google results that don't have hot links?  The easiest way to search this forum is to leave the forum and do a normal google search.

A forum with no search and no spell check.  Everything's up to date in KC!  Haha.

The "text-only" google results are the wireless version of each page. As I said:
