Tax Incentives for Kansas City Development Discussion

Post by beccanator »

For you economics and KC development enthusiasts:

The UMKC Economics Club is hosting a forum on Tax Incentives for Kansas City Development on Monday, April 17th.

"Time: 7:00-9:00pm
Where:  Royall Hall, room 104. 52nd Street and Rockhill Road.
Who:  All UMKC Students and one guest per ID.  Non-UMKC Students, including faculty not accompanied by a student will be charged $2.

Why: Come to learn about Kansas City tax incentives and programs for development.  Learn about the City of Kansas City's incentives through a roundtable discussion consisting of four persons directly involved in the planning and shaping of Kansas City's future. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the various tax incentive regimes such as the Tax Increment Financing, Tax Abatements and Enhanced Enterprise Zones, etc.

Roundtable Panel:
City Councilman Troy Nash

Stan Counts, Business Development Officer

George Birt, KC LoftSpace

Neighborhood Activist (beats me who this is supposed to be, but , eh, surprises are nice)

*Refreshments will be provided*"
