It's early, but the search will begin soon enough for the host cities. Is there any interest in or talk of trying to come up with a bid for either the RNC or DNC in 2020? I think we will be in a much better position to host than in 2016.

With a Pence/Kobach ticket we might have an advantage.

Convention solicitations go out in fall of this year! Any talk of trying again for DNC or RNC?

Given the nature of politics now and the prospect of it likely only getting more divisive and violent in the near future, I sure as hell hope not.

The cities that have rejected hosting duties insist Trump and the today's divisive politics are not factors in their decisions. They instead cite high security costs and disruptions in the normal flow of business and traffic.

Of course maybe KC is one of the two that are silent.

This. Would think KC will bid for both even if knowing it won't hit the short list just to get word out (to convention planners) on downtown improvements and more hotel rooms coming online. Getting on a long/short list is still attention. Unless KCVB has something else better to spend their resources on, like promoting MCG as a beautiful asset.
