Great meeting you and your crew! I had a blast and really dug all of the bands. This morning my wife and kiddo were like..."why is there glitter everywhere?" ha.

Thanks for putting it on!

How often do you guys do events like this? I read this thread late but would be interested in the next one.

We try to limit it to two shows a month. We're buffered by Troost to the east and our neighbors to the north and south don't mind but some neighbors directly east have asked us to avoid weekday shows. We're trying to be more accomodating by limiting shows overall.

A friend of the house is having her birthday here. I didn't curate the bands for her party so I can't gguarantee quality but my band Lil Toughies (the greatest band in KC) is playing so it should be fun. That's June 3rd.

The next show after that is June 17th. I don't have all the details for that but likely Chasm is playing as their drummer Libby is setting up the show.

I'm still buzzing from that night. Great time, great bands. Lil Toughies is a fun band worth checking out...btw...I saw you have a date at The Brick, JB. Nice.

Here's a vid from the evening by the Too Much Rock dude:

Is there really a Toughies band that's not you? You should totally kick their asses.

starts at 8pm, grill out before starts at 5pm. I will be smoking brisket all day and my room mates will be making vegan treats.

My band Lil Toughies opens, followed by Drugs and Attics, then A Giant Dog and then Wet Ones to finish up.

bring $5 for the band and maybe some money to buy merch stuffs. A Giant Dog is amazing my favorite band and I'm really excited a ragger is interested in this show.

There is. There's a band called Toughies from Lawrence and our band is called Lil Toughies. Unfortunately both bands started at around the same time and I didn't know about Toughies until it was too late (we had played more than 3 shows with the name and fell in love with it). But we are who we are and there are who they are and they will totally be destroyed as the Lawrence scum they are.

If I start a band called Big Toughies we three could totally play the most confusing show ever. Then maybe we could get a band of little people to open as Real Lil Toughies...

The scum is in your hood Friday, down in the crossroads. Make sure and wear your Lil Toughies tee.

Lil Toughies aren't scared of a little brand saturation!

Alright, this is a favorite release of 2016. Former KC act now in Los Angeles making soundtracks,

https://umberto.bandcamp.com/track/white-night

Imagine a PlayStation 1 game about Dead Can Dance, you gotta get the band to the venue on time. No stateside release

Current KC act Scammers has a similarly lush-sounding electronic LP using fake orchestras:

https://scammers.bandcamp.com/track/if- ... nd-the-one

So far, the best-looking LP cover of the year is this one for Deathly Hollow.

You can catch him this coming Tuesday night @ The Ship, Raggers

http://toomuchrock.com I noticed a photographer at last night's Bad Ideas show was Sid from this website; a place for good video & astute reviews at a steady routine pace. Videos are likely outmoding writing about music in terms of importance to a community. Video is better for the musicians & viewers

Thanks, didn't know about that site.
What's a decent rhythm section in town? I need to hear some live drums.
