No matter how relatively low taxes might look, they can always be lower, at little to no expense to public services.

People aren't bitching about KC vs. Des Moines, they are bitching about KC vs. Lee's Summit or Johnson County. I would love to see this same list ranked on the difference between the core city and it's suburbs, as well as a similar list of metro cities.
