As everyone knows there are a plethora of New Urban or pseudo-New Urban plans on the table in almost every single area of the metro especially the Northland. I remember hearing that Steiner researched the Plaza as they designed Zona Rosa. Does our close proximity to the "birth of new urbanism" bring us more new urban projects?
I also noticed that traditional retail builders like General Growth aren't designed any new urban style malls, but they're developing traditional malls with more appealing exteriors. Are the new urbanism projects or outdoor shopping centers as popular in other areas as they are in KC right now?
Does KC have an unusual number of new urban projects?

Actually, KC is a little behind (as usual). There are full blown and built new urbanism projects all over the country, even in much small cities. KC is just now getting some, and most include more traditional homes than new urbanism.
Longview Farms is the largest in KC what will bring true new urbansim to the suburbs.
