Re: I found this on Urban St. Louis...

We could get bogged down in semantics, arguing whether or not light rail has had any impact on traffic problems in greater St. Louis, but I'd rather not.  It doesn't really matter to me.  All I know is that I take trains DAILY as a practical and efficient means of transportation to and from work.  ...

Re: I found this on Urban St. Louis...

If you look at the list of cities with rail transit and without, you will see that the greatest cities in the country fall into the former.  Period. Yes. I would go so far as to say that the top cities in the world fall into the former. So what? What about your statement makes rail transit the best...

Re: I found this on Urban St. Louis...

Why are KC forumers made out to be so perfect and anyone who challenges  their stupid shit is called an asshole? Also, I would like to say, please reread your posts and tell me who is posting stupid shit and who is being an asshole. I am / have been stating my opinion, which I have backed up from t...

Re: I found this on Urban St. Louis...

I never said rapid transit is bad. Rapid transit is good; it's critical for maximizing density. LIGHT RAIL is bad rapid transit . End of opinion. If you want to argue that LRT is better than PRT, let's have that argument. Let's do the cost analysis. Bust out your facts. Don't, however, insult my int...

Mean, you are living under a rock. I doubt you really mean what you say. It's probably just your own little way of justifying why your city hasn't embraced truly urban modes of transit like so many other cities have done successfully. Come on, admit it, you would cream your pants if you had the opt...

Be glad we're not doing it. Building 19th century transportation infrastructure in the 21st century is el stupido grande. lol! What's funny? You're the ones spending astronomical amounts of money on 19th Century transportation infrastructure. But hey, it's your money. Laugh it up. I say "be gl...

More stereotypes to fight - we are our own worst enemies

Who really cares if someone thinks that KC is a big Wichita?
Bingo. Let people think / say whatever they want about KC. They're going to think / say whatever they want anyway, and we're not going to change their minds by yelling at them (no matter how loudly).

merging traffic rant

While we're on the subject, I cross the L&C viaduct twice a day, and merging onto 35-S from 70-E is really obnoxious. People who know the left lane exits onto 70-E apparently like to assume nobody will be coming from the viaduct and just zip right over into my lane, forcing me to slam on my brak...

Westport clubs goin' hip-hop?

because hip clubs play trip-hop, jungle, drums 'n' bass, break beats, ambient, acid jazz, happy hardcore, speed garage, industrial, experimental, progressive house, techno and trance.
I don't find any of that stuff to be particularly hip, myself...

Diff'rent strokes, I guess.

^Yeah, he was a prick. btw, your sig is a little immature and only further exposes an inferiority complex. :) Eh, if you say so. Clearly you are an experienced doctor of psychology. Sigh. I really do love St. Louis. What a great town.

It's no KC, but hey, what is? Nothing but KC, natch.

State of downtown condo sales

Just for clarification, any issues with the Stuart Hall name would be trademark issues, not copyright issues, although Fang is pretty much right. Generally, you can use whatever name. You might get C&Ded, in which case it'd be up to a court to determine whether you are in violation (or more like...

Huh, I was always under the impression that when in "hot pursuit" of a criminal, jurisdictions were (more or less) ignored.

Can't speak for anybody else, but I'm making fun of one woman who deserves it. If you take offense to this because she happens to share your zip code, well, she's your neighbor, and you made the conscious choice to reside in a locale favored by this type of person. Dear lord that's the dumbest thin...
