Re: Make Grand Grand

Nothing new in this editorial...but here it is. The new “Make Grand Grand” streetscaping report prepared by architects and transit planners contains a number of “green” proposals to make the roadway more attractive. Plans call for more trees and landscaping and a couple of pocket parks, plus new bik...

Re: Downtown Buildings with Activity

Just noticed the Sieden's Fur Building has paper up over the windows. Just last week, you could still see the dead plants in the windows. Anybody know if something is going on with this building?

Re: Downtown Delivery

I drove by Caddyshack the other day. Just judging by the look of the bar from the outside, I would not have guessed they had delicious pizza....but my girlfriend noticed the front of the building was lined up with cars. I guess looks can be deceiving.

Re: Cliff drive proposed as downtown area giant hiking/bikin

Anybody walked Cliff Drive lately? I drove by on Sunday (just getting acquainted with the area) and saw that there was a concrete barricade. Do they even open it up for traffic anymore? Seems like a concrete barricade is a bit excessive for car-free Sundays only.

Re: Downtown Delivery

Thanks for the tips. Pizza, subs, and Chinese were about what I was expecting. After looking around more, it also looks like Cafe Al Dente delivers. Do Midtown/Westport locations usually deliver downtown, or are distances usually fairly restricted?

Downtown Delivery

I recently moved downtown and am loving it. Something I am missing is the availability of cheap food delivered to your door late at night. I understand that most places in the loop close in the evening and over weekends...are there any delivery options I should know about?

Re: Kansas City optimism

This article from the KC Star does a great job of highlighting why KC can be a great place, I only wish more people in the metro would realize how much we truly have here. It’s hard to tell when you are living in a golden age. Woody Allen made that point in his recent movie “Midnight in Paris,” wher...
