Re: Roasterie Expansion Update
I was sorta thinking the same regarding putting a cafe right there, but there is already a cafe there and when I asked if I could go there and have coffee they told me I could but it is not even advertised. That said I am glad since I live a few blocks from there and I will surely walk there to enjo...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
What about a CB2 in the Plaza? I went to Minneapolis this past weekend and came accross that store in the Uptown area, which by the way I really enjoyed. It is like Wesport meets The Plaza.

Re: Main Street (MainCor) Streetscape
The benches were made like that to prevent homeless and those types of people from camping out. It is even quoted in MainCor as to why these benches are like this. Not sure if it's a good thing or bad thing, I mean the bums have to go somewhere. Oh yes I forgot to mentioned that, I was told that wa...

Re: Main Street (MainCor) Streetscape
I think it is progress but some of the stuff they are doing is interesting. I was having a coffe at Oddly Correct and I thought they had some bike raks but the owner told me it was a bench. I tested it and all you can do is sorta lean on it, I think it would be useful if you are tired but not as com...

What is the deal with Borderstar? I just went to an open house 2 weeks ago and it seemed all is good, my kiddo is about to be 3 so I will not need a school until 2 and a half years from now but already scouting schools. Like Borderstar, Foreign Language Academy for their Spanish immersion programm, ...

There is also a house 2 lots nort that was not there before and is a new build as far as I know, right next to I-670. Are you guys saying th...

They should let condo towers be built around the park itself, even if some land is lot for it.

And if you walk in OP people look at you weird. I once droppped my car at NTB at 119th and Metcalf and walked to the office, first thing I noticed was everyone was looking at me from their cars. Second to cross Metcalf man I tell you could be intimidating and I have crossed crazy streets in Mexico. :)

Re: Vacant schools could get new life as senior living apart
Oh wow, If rememer correctly the developer was the same one that did the Cold Storage lofts. I have talked to some residents in the Westside (like 3) and they want something done with that school since it has been closed for years. Some of them welcomed the idea of doing housing for seniors. Why doe...

Re: The KCMO School District
My friend's wife works at Alta Vista and she said the teachers work really hard to turn around those kids, she said the 1st year it is troublesome since a lot of the kids come from the KCMOSD, after a year or year and a half most kids are now excited about learning or at least willing. She was so ex...

Re: Kansas: Reproach of the Poach
I agree with Highlander while I work in Kansas and really like the State I dislike the policy to poach companies, so I too avoid at all costs to buy anything in KS. I try to tell my wife to go north for any stores we do not have close to the Westside and try to buy the rest in stores in the core of ...
