As per the KCMO Development Tracker tool, I believe it is a Wendy's immediately south of the McDonald's.

Re: Kansas City GO Bond
Looks like this might be the answer to my polling question: http://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article141070223.html The survey by Remington Research Group showed 62 percent of likely voters agreed Kansas City should be authorized to issue $800 million in general obligation bonds for...

Re: Parkville
Another project in Parkville is the new 20,500 sqf business school/veteran's center being built at Park University's flagship campus in downtown Parkville. This project was made possible by a seven figure donation to the school and is being designed by Helix Architecture. http://www.kansascity.com/n...

Parkville
Didn't find a page dedicated strictly to Parkville so I thought I'd start one... Looking on the city's website recently I found a notice of public hearing for a new retail development to be located at the intersection of Highway 45 and Bell Rd. (This site was previously graded for development but pl...

Re: We need a new airport!!!
The current airport design makes as much sense as a pyramid tablet... https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/5cfaa550fd5827f8201182b0535be6e649f5843dad2f4737fd9ad837c53763fd.jpg It will be a small time airport and keep KC a smallish market because it can't effectively even operate as a mini hub. Many...

New site plan in this bizjournal article. Unfortunately, it is "supremely suburban" instead of "virtually urban." http://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2017/01/05/driv-golf-lounge-and-brewhouse.html http://www.nkc.org/UserFiles/Servers/Server_2375230/Templates/logo_blue.png

Re: New Convention Hotel
In the city council's business session today, Mike Burke noted about the new rendering that it is "bound to change" and is as roughly accurate as they have now. They will come back to the city when they have their nearly final design.

Re: New Convention Hotel
FYI the project website (http://heretostaykc.com) shows only the new rendering and none of the old ones, except for the old site layout on "overview" page. I wonder if this is a final rendering?

Re: And here we go again... Midwest Hotel to be demolished
In regards to tearing down every other building on the site, I hope the developers either incorporate the two buildings north of the hotels' Main Street Facades into the design as some additional historic preservation or they propose a design that looks so nice, losing a couple of older brick buildi...

Re: Arabia Steamboat Museum Looking for New Home
The Star: New treasure awaits Steamboat Arabia crew The gist of it is that the people behind the Arabia museum are probably finally going to begin a full excavation of another sunken steamboat next year. They've needed more exhibit space for years, and will need still more if they dig up what they ...
