I agree, Buffet with his big talk is reason enough to let it suffer...I have many other reasons....#1 being mainly I used to ride my bike as a kid where the NFM now sits. That is a darn good reason to dislike the place. The wooded trails and adjacent neighborhoods where me and my cohorts use used t...

Great Wolf Lodge was a blast. We drove in and out of the NFM parking lot, as well as, the Cabela's parking lot. Community America Ballpark parking lot was next. It looked like a nice place to watch a game. I wish there was a way to get an aerial photo of all the above plus the DAMNASCAR facility. Th...

here... http://www.kcskyscrapers.com/albums/kcguyedguy/downtownkcandstl.jpg the shot of STL is the only one (out of maybe a thousand) I could find showing the whole skyline (asssuming there are more buildings behind the grain elevator) There are more buildings to the west. I think the AT&T buil...

Regarding St. Louis's skyline, I don't care for it much. It's not ugly, but it's not impressive either. Except for the Arch, it's really generic. Impression of the KC skyline really depends on the angle it's viewed from. With all of the bluffs and valleys, the skyline is can look very different fro...

Does Denver consider that downtown? I know it's close but is that in their "downtown definition"...doesn't matter really it lays perfectly against downtown and can be reached by light rail.... KC is striken with too good of design in the 70's...great stadiums, bad location, but still too ...

so was the StL skyline accented with the dome? You seem to keep mentioning "open air".... Good question. I think the StL skyline was enhanced by the EDJ Dome. However, domes, like the EDJ Dome are weak in comparison to open air stadiums located downtown. The new Mile High in Denver is a c...

I agree.....their is nothing wrong with the KC skyline right now.....but think it would be enhanced on game night with a downtown, open air stadium.KC wrote:It is a sight to see KC's skyline on ESPN or monday night football...stadium or not...

Suburban and rural stadiums are infectious diseases to downtowns as were the shopping malls in the 1960s. All stadiums and arenas should be built in America's downtowns. Ok, so would you support replacing Kauffman w/ a stadium downtown? I know that question was for Q....but I will answer YES as well.

your post suggested that getting a downtown stadium would put KC skyline on TV.. Now, if only KC could get a clue and some gumption and start earnest plans to build a downtown, open air baseball and football stadiums. What a sight that would be on a Monday night or an ESPN game when the blimps fly ...

they show the skyline of whatever city they are in no matter the location of the stadium.....and it always looks awesome...tall and proud. Why does KC feel the need to be one up on St Louis? It doesn't matter where KC ranks on some chart for buildings of height. It's a great place regardless. Wouldn't you agree?SonicBoi wrote:By my estimations, 2555 Grand, if not counted, will give us the points to edge us over St. Louis.
