Re: One Kansas City Place
I'd think 2555 Grand would be considered class A as well, having been built in 2003. https://images1.loopnet.com/i2/h8CLNc2QJm4xr805KhjftnSNwdQWpqUp-0RlTEG2Icc/116/image.jpg I was just considering multi-tenant buildings and so HR Block, 2555 Grand were not in my equation. 2555 Grand has listings av...

The Power & Light apartments had a tower crane for the parking garage and addition. That was just 2-3 years ago?KCPowercat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 12:32 pm Tower crane going up today . When was the last non p&l tower crane in the loop?

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Should orient toward downtown for skyline views. baseball stadiums usually face northeast due to balls getting lost in the sun. https://i.postimg.cc/nVjzwfLm/Ball-Park-Orientation2.jpg Not only that but if the stadium was facing west the seating would look directly into the sun as it is setting.

Re: Downtown tower construction boom in 2020?
From what I've read, we don't want to be Nashville. No probably not. The city has in a way lost it's soul and become sterile. Starting to look like another Seattle or Austin, but the sheer growth and amount of cranes is impressive nonetheless. KC has historically grown a little more organically and...

Re: Downtown tower construction boom in 2020?
Even if all of those projects got started tomorrow, there still wouldn't be as many cranes as Nashville has up right now.

However, there's already the perception that there is zero parking downtown by all of the surburbanites or they are too lazy to walk more than half a block. Is it going to negatively affect growth when these people start getting tickets and the KC Star picks it up and blows it out of proportion? Ye...

I like the idea of parking enforcement because it's ridiculous the things I see. Re: OFFICIAL - City Bank Building (Church of Scientology)
So, what do we want this building to become once it inevitably goes up for sale again? I’m thinking hotel You haven't looked into Scientology have you? The org structure is your classic corporate cult structure where they could go bust and someone will still own the building 100 years from now unle...

I’m not sure what could change? Realistically anyway. How about cutting the concerts off at 10 PM and starting them earlier? I've attended a few of the big-name concerts in the Live Block and they will advertise the show starting at 7-8 PM, but the headliner comes on at 10-11 PM. I know it's a mark...

I think that spot was awkward for a stadium with the railroad tracks. Maybe if they tunneled over the tracks.

Found a webcam for the Nashville yards project and was amazed at how many cranes are up in the distance.
