Re: Truman Marketplace
Something is going between TJMAXX and Price Chopper. Harry's Liquor which I guess is just a separated name and entry for the Price Chopper liquor component. Also the in-store Starbucks is up and open and is quite nice. Looks like Aarons is moving into the actual shopping center. I hope they tear do...

This would be a prime time for First Watch or another breakfast/lunch/brunch or 24 hour diner concept to take this spot. There a lot of residential coming online shortly between QH/Crossroads/Downtown/City Market/CoPark.

Re: P&L Building
Agree with Dave, the new lighting looks great. The colors will change consistently. Northpoint has really done a great job on this project - the amenities package and finishes are second to none. And the Beacon Lounge and surrounding terrace are spectacular - would be one of the most killer spots i...

Re: Amenities missing from downtown
I think Charisse is just off the beat and path. I'm sure having the Hampton Inn just down the way should help them and Farmstead Cafe and once the Pickwick is completed and leased and the Embassy project is complete, should really help with bringing more restaurant and retail.

Food court? The Pizza Hut/KFC is on the exterior. The old upstairs food court is no longer used. The only eating establishments are Plowboys (moving to opposite corner where Ingredient was), KFC/Pizza Hut, Planet Sub, Mama Tios. The small snack and convenience stop and Scooters (interior).

Re: Amenities missing from downtown
^That's quite a bit for the relatively lower downtown population. But many suburban people love chains and that is mostly who is moving downtown. I'm not exactly a locatarian purist but do lean that direction. Is nice to see there is only one Starbucks downtown. Hope it stays that way. I imagine ma...

http://www.kansascity.com/news/business/development/article83995497.html Aside from the convention hotel, the biggest downtown lodging project in the works is a $146.5 million rehabilitation of the former Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City tower at 925 Grand Blvd. Developers are forging ahead with...

I like Ward Parkway. Good mix of stores, love Trader Joes and Target and go to TJMaxx, Old Navy, 5 Guys, Starbucks and AMC. Looking forward to seeing how they incorporate the restaurant/patio concept.taxi wrote:Keep Ward Parkway Weird.

At the new building at Armour/Gilham http://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2016/07/01/mother-earth-coffee-first-kc-franchisee.html I really think a restaurant would do great over here just because of the shear density among younger people with disposable income MAC properties has created. I st...

I have a couple friends on the wait list. A one-bedroom plus garage spot is less than 950. They did an awesome job on the renovation and have some really nice spaces.
