Re: Is the Streetcar Extension bringing new development as promised?
Maybe if we didn't insist on shoving traffic through construction sites, things might be able to a bit faster

Re: Midtown Area Apartment Boom
This can't seriously be torn down, right? That is absolutely insane and makes me not want to come on here to learn about depressing things like this. Gas lines shut off and barrier fence up. No one’s paying attention. Our leaders are too busy watching the Chiefs games and promoting their jobs after...

Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project
I mean commitments of Shell HQ and Topgolf (not that I'd strive for it) are a bit different. Reminds me of Port Covington in Baltimore, which is moving along well towards a moderate density. Local shell office moving into a new building. Just as when JE Dunn anchored east village with their office....

Re: SomeraRoad West Bottoms District
Tearing down one of the few examples of a concrete daylight warehouse in the kansas city area as the first step of a historic preservation project is absolutely wild. I love what this group has planned for the buildings they plan to keep but wow starting with the demolition of a HUGE national-regist...

The views to the east are the best from John’s anyways. The view to the north shouldn’t even exist, should be filled with buildings

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Go check the history on google earth. 1996, half that block was parking lots and half the buildings in that pic are gone. Long before the Star went in. Re: SomeraRoad West Bottoms District
It’s startling how there’s been absolutely zero reaction by preservationist in KC over the weld wheel. I guess the building is so ugly right now that everyone assumes it has to come down? Very odd. Also concerning that demolishing a big building is one of the first things they want to do. Here’s hop...

I really wish this board would stop responding to absolutely everything written by the trolls on this site. I wish the blocking function on this site actually worked and I wasn’t forced to read 90 dcole and im2kull posts every day to keep up with this forum

I think as long as the stadium is ONLY removing the star building and the two blocks west on grand, I’m good with it. If the blast radius extends past that on any side, though, that’s a problem

Re: KC built on buried ruins of ancient city
So weird  Howdy ya’ll. Today we’re going to look at some astounding photographs of Kansas City, Missouri taken between the years 1860 and 1899. This collection of 150 images, all highly detailed, and most never before seen, appear to identify Kansas City as a location which bore the brunt of we...
