Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

Partially true. I guess by development I meant walkable amenity/F&B thingys not glass towers across and servicing the convention center. And am aware of the new streetcar line - if used. The consideration for a stadium is well documented by ULI and others but still some magic in that selection. ...

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

And no, plopping down a stadium, or any placemaking effort, should not be taken lightly. It takes an understanding of what is, what can be, and what makes it so. Look at Minute Maid stadium in lovely houston. Nada for redevelopment b/c it was not in an area that was, could be and nothing can make it...

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

twist on this time could be two converging prospects....the ULI-endorsed evacuation of I-70 and Amazon HQ2. removing the hwy allows for parking and bus ingress for a stadium above/adjacent on the lovely concrete mass just south of I-70. And giving Amazon naming rights is unlike any other city's prop...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

It does impact density....negatively. We want variety in all ways. Singles, families, empty nesters, professionals, creatives, etc. the demand we have here started with young families. Glad to see that in the RM. And we are not your typical "developers". I do not abide by "highest and...

Re: Streetcar to the riverfront

thanks. okay funded in part thru condo fees. hopefully then not pricing them out of the market. dont ever see anyone using a "pedestrian land" on the bridge. wishful thinking. biking maybe. again second concern is location. so every oddball development of scale can apply to get one-offs on...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

I know...we feel the demand. will end up as 2-3 bedroom units (3rd in lower level) with outdoor patios and 2 car garage as noted. Start Q1.

Re: Streetcar to the riverfront

dont agree with this on a few levels. first if any KC local tax funds are used as the entire development is just oddly located and disconnected (walkable). Supposedly Port KC is so behind this for self-serving reasons they will sponsor/find the funds which seems to make it okay? Not if the trolleys ...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

the townhouses will have their own attached garage. I agree there shouldn't be a surface lot left on this block if done right. thanks for pointing out the uberugly townhomes "coming soon" sign. Had not seen that and will change immediately. yes we celebrate diversity and increased density...
