Re: OFFICIAL: H&R Block HQ
There are a lot of businesses that still require employees to be in the office. It would behoove downtown KC to build its employment base rather than just become a residential area. First and foremost, the number of people who want to live downtown and work elsewhere in the metro are limited which ...

Floors 3-10 put up for lease. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/1301-Main-St-Kansas-City-MO/31458092/ That's more than half the whole building! This is also why you focus on housing instead of trying to entice businesses back to the urban core. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/the-ceo-of-h-r...

Wow, I liked that plan so much I was looking for a place on the website to donate. Best of luck to them.KCPowercat wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 3:54 pm Hoping this group can breath some new life into the north loop discussion. Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
A lot of people have to take the blame for this latest attempt at a plan. Looking back on it, I think the group that passed the previous renovations plan probably bear the major fault. Some of them were on this board. That was a huge setback to downtown though most didn't realize it then. It's hard ...

Re: Katz on Main
There does seem to be continued progress, but I remain concerned about the historic piece of the project. Fitting a swimming pool and roof deck up there is no small feat and there is limited reinforcement. At least at this point A truck is going to "accidentally" run into it and knock it ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Goes to show how bad the campaign was. Why not say: We expect this tax to generate 500m. We will look to the city for 350m. We will look to the state for 350m. And we, the royals will put over 500m into the project. Obviously using clay county info there but same applies to KC. Share info like the ...

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I doubt either of them wants to take on additional properties at this point. I think Taylor already owns five properties. Travis owns two houses in the KC metro and co-owns a house in Florida. He also rents a large apartment in One Light. Yeah, One Light is so far beneath them at this point though....

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kansas City’s version of Museum Tower in Dallas? Sure! And there is precedence with branded highrises and Taylors might be as high as anyones right now. She gets a luxury apartment for her and Travis for nothing and likely even gets some of the profit if she donates design touches that represent he...

Was wondering when this news would get out. It's been an open secret among folks in my inner circle since early February. She should be good for AT LEAST one new luxury condo tower (our first) in this city. Give her the top two floor penthouse and sell everything else for $Ms. Probably would be mor...

I wish I had your optimism. Sherman did purchase the Royals as an investment. He had a plan to grow that investment via a downtown location being symbiotic with future investments. His baseball investment would grow as much if not more in larger cities with higher growth rates than it would in Kans...

They can and they most likely will if they cannot get a favorable deal here where they believe they can generate the revenues to sustain a quality product. You must not be a Royals fan. Glass gave fuck all about sustaining a quality product and he turned a $150m investment into $1B. He could have a...

No, this is not what she said. She said they would not be working with Jackson Co again, meaning they are going to work with the city for a downtown ballpark or other entities. Royals could still end up in JaxCo without being funded by a county tax.

You guys must have never been Saint Louis Rams fans. Don’t let your KC hate for STL blind you. Austin, San Antonio, Charlotte, Nashville and Salt Lake City are growing rapidly. Investors like growth and it’s easy to sell untapped markets on building stadiums to get new teams. I’m not saying they’ll...

Kansas City is not St. Louis, which is probably why there are so many posters on here who used to be from St. Louis.
