Re: Netflix HD streaming and Roku player
Are you on Time Warner broadband? I've been having problems downloading movies to AppleTV and my fear is that TWC is seeing the streaming d/l's and throttling back the bandwidth. I have the "basic" up to 7Mbps service, which varies anywhere from 500K to 3M minute to minute. Am at 700-100...

I remember watching out of the north windows of Truman Medical Center in 1979 or 80 when they installed that gear. As usual, helicopter lifting - took them a week or so to get everything up there.

But watch out, Curry can make recommendations that benefit themselves, not the building owners, such as upgrading things prematurely that make it easier for them to maintain. Ahhhh...KC condo owners are now getting the big picture. Board members, please remember to check those monthly statements f...

Lovely photos! BTW, in the villages built in to the hills/cliffs, are the stairs treated like comon elements in traditional condos? I've always wondered what the etiquette was when traversing those types of enclaves.

What was the place on Cambridge Circle? They only sold photo chemicals, paper, and film? Was that Lawrence Photographic?? As to the 5D MII, head over to http://blog.vincentlaforet.com/ Vincent is smitten with it and has shot some great HD footage. His latest heartthrob is the RED One (...

Not a pro, purely an amateur who was intro'ed to color processing back in college in 1974 thru Communiversity at UMKC. Been playing at it ever since. We used to have a lot of great camera shops in KC. I first started using Crick when it was on the Plaza. Then they moved out to Brookside for years...

Re: Digital SLR Sensor Cleaning
Back in the old days when I was still using digital (couple of Nikon D1's), I'd do my own sensor cleaning. But I've been shooting for 30 years and am pretty comfortable with that sort of thing. I'm also comfortable changing the light traps on my Hasselblad magazines. Anything more than that, I ta...

Re: Where to buy a Christmas Tree
We went by midtown Home Depot Sunday to pick out a tree - selection was pretty grim. They were either the wrong color green, the wrong color brown or Charlie Brown style.
Ended up going to Soil Service at Gregory & Troost. Prices were not exactly budget however ($92 for an 8.5 foot).

We were there Sat nite too (we were the old crowd - arrived at 8, left at 10 ). Jazz trio had started, crowd was thickening. Pretty decent drink menu - a couple in our party raved about the French King (lots of absinthe). Still haven't got all of their draft beers flowing, some bottled stuf...

Re: Buying a house - Asbestos
Welcome to home negotiation. I hate this part so bad, I refuse to do it anymore. Many years ago, a colleague had had his secretary buy a property for him in secret from Hallmark whilst he was visiting China. 3 years ago we were buying our condo and I remembered his approach and tried a similar dea...
