However, when I do speak to someone who has been here they're always surprised at how much nicer the cit...

IBM Tower getting lights? What are these?

beautiful. now if only the area between crown center and the central business district had some high rises to fill in the gap. now that would be a great skyline.

New/expanded Lawrence Public Library

i think it's great that lawrence's downtown is continually evolving. a new library should add even more to the quality of the city's central business/shopping district.

For Arenas, Competition May Not Be a Good Thing

i'm glad someone has finally written an article about this situation. either way i think the downtown arena will prevail if it is able to secure an NHL or NBA team

Re: The View: 65 of 143 units already sold

According to the KC Star, the prices are 139k to 1.5M for the penthouse. I drove by this yesterday on the way back from Iowa, and was AMAZED(!!!) at how great the glass looks on this thing. I can't believe it's the same building. "Our Traffic has just been non-stop, including the holidays"...

Crate & Barrel to fill the vacated Saks locale

this is great news. hopefully crate and barrel remodels the outside to fit the plaza's style. my concern is that they stick with their signature modern white/glass look.

also i'm curious what highwoods will do with the rest of the property.
