Surprised it isn't more than 7% in Grain Valley. What the hell else is there to do in Grain Valley beyond humping random strangers?

Re: Google picks KCK/KCMO for ultra fast fiber network
I find it mildly humorous that Google Now's TV recommendation function recognizes like two dozen cable/DBS for my midtown zip code (including every obscure provider no one has ever heard of) but no Google Fiber.

Yeah if he can't keep from shitting his pants with nerves in that low pressure of a situation how is he ever going to handle pitching in a situation with actual game pressure?

Re: Google picks KCK/KCMO for ultra fast fiber network
The WiFi radios in the current hardware are utterly worthless so no surprise they are pushing out new hardware so soon. Frankly surprised they haven't caught more public heat for it. The support forums paint a pretty clear picture that anyone paying any attention to speeds goes down the road of a pe...

Re: Plumber recommendation?
I am loyal to Bob Hamilton. A couple of years ago Bob's son saved us ~$9k for a main line replacement the other prominent plumbing company told us had to go. Hamilton wound up determining the fault was on the city side when we had them out for a second opinion. Even coached us through dealing with t...

Re: Urban Living Pet Peeves
It is also a bit of a disingenuous straw man to suggest some of these pet peeves are frequent or universal. There are vast swaths of the urban core that are established, even affluent, and where pantless bums shitting in your recycling are going to be a rare phenomenon. Living in an urban area doesn...

Re: The RESERVE...(current FED Bldg)
Really? Almost every detailed piece I have read on the CC hotel references the total metro area rooms and how "easy" it is to get from all of the thousands of 435 ring hotel rooms to the DT facilities. I can't think they help.

Re: The RESERVE...(current FED Bldg)
Fair enough. I am to the point where I think they just need to start adding rooms DT one way or the other. The burbs aren't honoring any moretoreum on new rooms until the convention hotel gets built. So if DT operates under a moretoreum we are just going to continue to have all of our rooms built ar...

I meant down market from a standard Morton's - based on the example menu in the article.

Re: Urban Living Pet Peeves
Debatable at best. I would rather have to see some dude piss on an emty beer can in the street every day if the alternative was that I had to get in the car and drive two miles to a soul-sucking strip mall just to get a cup of coffee.AlbertHammond wrote: Lovable it ain’t, but it sure is a lot less annoying.

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Ruth's Chris moving to the new Hall's building. Morton's is rumored to be going where M&S Grill just closed. I would say that Plaza III would have a difficult time keeping up with the top 3, especially as old as their interior is. Per Joyce and apparently a sign in the window, M&S is confir...

What the hell kind of hotel needs twice as many parking spots as rooms? Are they thinking most of their business will come from local affairs with the lovers sneaking in with separate vehicles?

Re: Westport's fate post-P&L
I have only been to Miami Lice once. Comparing them to Murray's is like comparing Coors Light to Blvd. Pale Ale. Murrays is a lot like cold stone: fancy flavors disguising foamy, filler-laden ice cream base. Plus Miami Ice will make a shave ice with custard in the bottom and a snow cap - Kauai style.

Re: Urban Living Pet Peeves
Hipsters. Just once I would like to be able to walk around the neighborhood without encountering some 250lb + dude with his ass hanging out of his little sisters' jeans. All the more worse when said dude is on a moped or mis-sized fixie bike and the full moon winds up blotting out the sky. Can't we ...

Never been a fan. Don't care for the ice cream. Ridiculously inneficient counter operation (did they hire OK joes as consultants?). And cash only. Three strikes so I am walking to Miami Ice instead.

Re: Politics
Well, I was thinking more about the potential for a democratic electorate terrified of a tea partyfied GOP to turn out in larger numbers than usual for the actual midterms. The ones who give enough of a shit to notice this development are already likely to vote the midterm. You need something way m...
