Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Agreed. Some level of pedestrianization of Nichols would be nice, and I think could enhance the beauty and economic vitality of the street, but I also think the Plaza will be alright without it. For me, bringing some residential to the bowl area would be the real get and would open up lots of possib...

Key to success is connecting it to Union Station & Crown Center, one big family thing in the city that everyone is cool with. Wonder if they could build more pathways or a connector electric bus by the railroad tracks behind both US & PP. I feel like Pershing is overdue for a redesign. It i...

Kansas City Needs a Proper Christmas Market
Splitting this off at Dave's request. Kansas City lacks for Christmas activities, perhaps the most glaring of which is the absence of a real Christmas Market. Plenty of agreement that a Christmas market would be great. But where should it go? Potential locations include: - Nichols Road on the Plaza ...

Re: Misc Crossroads News
I commend places for trying, but no one has pulled off a fun adults holiday themed event yet here. I miss the bundled up markets in Chicago, waiting for friends with hot spiced drinks, music, and wintery food and crafts. Everyone here really hibernates for a few months. It feels like a real missed ...

I'd like to see a way to preserve the length of buildings facing Grand from Truman to 16th, starting south of the drycleaner/Prime building. We have so few contiguous blocks of small buildings like that. Hate to lose it, but I feel like there is a way to maintain it and incorporate it. This stretch...

Have always assumed that MAC would jump at the chance to own the Main/Armour BK parcel. Curious if there is any movement there.

Interesting. I didn't know that about the settlement issues. Not that Hallmark would have kept it working anyway. That was such a nice property when it was a Hyatt. The Skies, the duck club, all the common areas were top notch. I have stayed there several times since it changed to a Sheraton but ha...

TIF hearing keeps getting pushed back on a monthly basis. Now scheduled for November, but it was also scheduled for September, and then Ocotober, and has been pushed back each time. I'm hopeful this project has legs, as a non-Cordish residential high rise will be a fantastic addition--although resi...

If you’re going to Cosentinos for breakfast when Meshuggah is right there, then you only have yourself to blame LOVE Meshuggah!! But if they have non-bagel, non-carb breakfast options then they need to get the word out. There's not even a bagel with egg option. First, Meshuggah is solid. But agree,...

While I'm talking pet peeves about the Gilliam Cycle track, do you have to jog/walk in the cycle track? There are two or three sidewalks that run the entire length of the track where you will be safe. And we will both be safer when I'm passing you. I can appreciate this, but I tend to think of this...

Rode part of that Sunday. Very nice. Did you happen to ride through the intersection with 45th Street at the NE corner of the Nelson? I'm curious how that looks/is working given the slip lane. Originally the design closed the slip lane and converted the intersection to a 4 way stop but I'm hearing ...
