Re: New Chiefs Stadium
The fairfax area wouldn’t be the worst, would still prefer it if they redid the Truman complex with an entertainment district and connected it with a train that ran through east side to Lee’s summit

Re: Future Transit Oriented Developments
Thanks Chris, really exciting to have you looking to develop in KC. I want to second what Flippant said with building row houses underneath with apartment above, I’ve seen this development in London which does it well https://goo.gl/maps/R95sPn6t1fT3eoG2A I would personally like to see that kind of ...

To be honest P&L and this project seem to be for totally different markets, so I’m not sure they will hurt anything. Could be wrong though

Re: 10th and Main Southwest Corner (former transit center)
isn't the office space for KCATA and Streetcar Authority? Is there any actual speculative office space? Nope which is why the comments from the tower properties guy is even more ridiculous. This isn’t competing with their stuff in any way They must be upset then that they aren’t taking the space al...

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?
If JC Nichols were planning his racist developments today, a lot of you would absolutely be cheering him on I’m not going to speak to the coded language as it’s despicable, but we don’t have to kowtow to anti intellectual populism to be against racist housing practices, particularly when it’s been ...

Re: Katz on Main
There needs to be consideration from opposition that stopping these projects is pushing development further to the outskirts and hurting the environment. We need to find a way to ease the risk of displacement and appease them without a ban on development

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?
Since the money has seemed to go into a housing fund based on what they are saying, we can simply measure the number of affordable units before and after, as well as the impact on price due to less inventory and it will tell us which one is right and wrong. I’m not here to see developers get richer...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
The problem with putting buildings and restaurants along Brush Creek is that it's hard to control runoff from the watershed during these "bomb cyclone" deluge-type rain events that have been developing more frequently because of climate change. That’s disappointing, would be nice to see e...

Yeah, I don't think anyone nationally gives two shits about either particularly, and all we're really probing here are the personal biases of locals. Yeah, I agree. Arrowhead obviously more famous than Kauffman because of the sound record and the playing atmosphere, but overall they both are just n...
