Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
I'll bet this was those kids from the housing project on the east end of Columbus Park, given the location of their second carjacking attempt. I doubt that it was those kids. The ones I see all the time are too young to drive, but they are bad news. Independence Ave and Charlotte is the most direc...

Re: What restaurants are open on Thanksgiving?
I believe Grinder's is open every day. Perhaps they'll have a turkey pizza. They could call it a STRETCH slice.

Grinder's always has some kind of dropping steel ball pyro activity, which is pretty fun, as long as all the drunkards get along.

OK, OK... Just because he does not want a horde of hairy balls, flapp'n near his daughters does not make him uptight or overprotective. It only makes him a responsible. Seeing that most likely will not hurt those girls, but come-on, telling him to "stay in suburbia and go to church" get re...

Re: Bare Ass Bikers Busted?
Sparty, I'm sorry, but you can't really wave your cock around while you're riding a bike. If you are going to be so uptight and protective of your little girls, so as not to let them see a nekid human, you will likely end up with some very wild teenagers. And if nekid bikeriders downtown are so offe...

Re: car wash?
I believe that the new construction on the north side of 39th St. just west of Pensylvania (and across from the other, manual carwash) is going to be a high-tech high-falluten fancy-pantsed state of th eart automatic drive through carwash and should be opening very, very soon.

Loftguy,
I hope your friend let the kid keep it, fer chrissakes. Except for maybe a little bit for testing and evidence.

Re: What Camera do you have?
I would absolutely go Canon instead of Nikon. I have a lot of experience with both, and I can't think of one case where Nikon has an advantage. However, you could spend years reading Canon vs. Nikon B.S. on the web. For some reason, people think what they have is best. My country is better than your...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Columbus Park absolutely factors into this. It's practically in the RM. Except for that damn bridge being in the way. There is a 22 acre, 360 unit development about to begin. It lies from the bridge to Gillis, 3rd to 5th. It's pretty dense. Then there's the River Front/Port Authority/Forest City Lan...

Re: Construction in Columbus park.
They've got a site plan, but it's mostly BS, just something to show the neighbors to keep them "updated". I believe they intend to present a revised, updated plan to the neighborhood later this week.

Re: Construction in Columbus park.
The development is still in the design approval phase, and they are still working on their funding. I believe that, at present, they are 95% funded, which apparently is not enough for them. That's 95% of $100 million. They are hoping to begin their first phase of infrastructure, down Campbell from 5...

Re: Construction in Columbus park.
Yes, it is being built by the owner of Kim Long Market, across the street. I think it's going to be two stories, 1,500 sq. ft. each, with ground floor retail and office upstairs. Although it lies within the designated 22 acre Columbus Park development area, which is being developed by Zimmer, Urban ...

Re: Mmm. Fried Chicken
Anthony's on Grand has a great fried chicken dinner on Sundays. It's as good as anything I've had, but you don't get the usual sides (ala Stroud's). Comes with salad and a side... I recommend the eggplant parm.
