Re: Cordish Hiring-Recruiting Manager - HR Department Assistant
Is this for Assistant Regional Manager or Assistant to the Regional Manager? Instead of US dollars, can they pay in Shrute Bucks?

Re: absinthe.
That is definitely true. It is like a really great enlightening wine buzz, but without such a crappy feeling later. I agree also about the history, etc.

Re: absinthe.
From everything I've read, "real" absinthe doesn't have that much thujone, and thujone isn't as bad for you as people sometimes claim. I had a bunch of 100% authentic absinthe in the Czech Republic just a few weeks ago... sadly no tripping balls. It just makes you drunk. A lot of people...

Re: Official: KCMO Light Rail
They want to propose something that fails so they can push the transportation problems onto the next Mayor's plate and blame the lack of light rail on the citizenry?

Re: Official: KCMO Light Rail
If the MSC travels upward of 45-50 mph, I wouldn't necessarily consider that slow in city streets. And why are you of the opinion that the MSC would travel slower, make more stops, and carry fewer passengers than MAX currently does? I haven't seen any evidence that this will be the case. If true...

Re: Royals: level fanbase with 15% tix hike
The Royals are being smart, and they know that they will draw more than last year, so $3 million isn't probably their true projection. I'm guessing they expect to make a lot more than that. Sure, KC is cheap to live in compared to most of the MLB cities, but our tickets are still pretty cheap. Th...

No doubt, that bakery's got all the bomb frostings. I love those cupcakes like McAdams loves Gosling.ComandanteCero wrote: Actually, I think Magnolia bakery in Manhattan is usually credited with starting the cupcake craze (not that i'm an expert or anything)

A travel store would be nice. People coming in from out of town needing calling cards, power converters, luggage, bags, jackets, maps, advice, and other sundries. I can't imagine the number of people coming in for business wouldn't support this well. It would also be nice for people who live here...

Re: STROUDS
Torero's has some unique nooks and crannies to it. Stroud's could stick a place anywhere in town and pack them in. This will absolutely kill business-wise. Every time their name popped up in real estate transactions during past negotiations, the seller would suddenly think their property was wort...

December 7th... and believe me, I don't want this, unless I get to see R. Kelly reenact his rap opera ballad. That is one of the funniest, most terrible things ever.

Why do people care about Dunkin' Donuts? That place is terrible. NYC has the some of the worst coffee of any major city... there is a reason why Dunkin' Donuts can succeed there.

Anyone mention R. Kelly and Nee-Yo? Doesn't do much for me, but at least it brings some non-40-year-old white man music to the SC.

Re: Arena Parking Challenge
I did see a TON of parking identifiers stowed at the West Bottoms Garage north of Kemper Arena during the BBQ. They were just simple, throw them out when there is an event, signs, but should be very visible. All stated "Parking. X blocks to Sprint Center" or something to that effect. I...

The 810 Zone on the plaza played the Copa America finals and has access to Telefutura and Gol TV if I'm not mistaken. They can pretty much play anything.

KC. America All-In-One?
KC. Flyover worth stopping for?
KC. It's whats for dinner?
KC. You don't have to turn on the red light?
???
A strong catch phrase would be nice, but it's not like NYC needs I (heart) NY. We need some non-catch-phrase pub.

Rosedale's has by far the worst meat of any cue place I've been in the city (and that is including Gate's meteoric slide).

Did anyone see the band out afterwards? I saw the redheaded guitar/drum player at Cancun Fiesta Fresh in Westport.
