Re: Corrigan Building

I'm extremely impressed. that's not huge but it has character they even put rails in the street which shows an attention to detail Not super crazy about the curb cuts. BTW, anyone know where this presentation was given? same number as existing, at least. and not a pair of them per street like some ...

I want the uplink speed.

the middle tier seems popular with other systems being put in, I would bet Google comes up with one at some point.

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

The main we reason we don't need a heaping of fast food downtown is because people who live downtown don't want it, broadly speaking. If you're advocating for a bunch of McDonald's and friends to set up shop downtown, you're advocating for a bunch of drive-thrus for workers on their way in and out....

I would like to see small restaurant space developed near Bartle Hall. It already draws the chain restaurant demographics quite well with conventions, sports, HS graduations, etc. An inside/outside food court would be a great pairing with the convention facilities. It also would help draw along 14th...

Affare still seems to be having problems. A friend ate there a few days ago and the owner mentioned to him that they'd nearly had to close a couple of times. Affare has problems with the basics starting with their sign. how is someone to know they're actually a restaurant? go through the crossroads...

Are any of the proposals available for public view? I really want to see how bad they are. They must be a complete wreck based on that letter. I would imagine it's a public record but the city hasn't got to the point they put everything for planning online. my last interaction for something similar...

Re: Tesla Dealer in Kansas City

The greenest method one could employ in Kansas City while driving a Tesla would be to charge your car from solar panels on your roof, or if one had a wind turbine on one's property, or a combination of both. while true, the problem is one's car is likely to be far away from one's home. so this woul...

sounds like this is working on one half of the chicken/egg equation to bring talent into the metro. and, of course, when there's lots of talent businesses want to locate nearby and I notice that $50,000 + free stuff is easily more per person than large companies get in tax incentives to move across ...

does anyone know the temperature minmum to continue work? From a safety standpoint I wouldn't want people outside working but I imagine there's some point that certain work can't be done.

I don't think all that many people relocate on the basis of their political bias. Career opportunity, avocational interests and paycheck generally trumps all else. I'm suddenly reminded of the huge 20th century migration of blacks away from the south and segregation. I would argue that people do re...

Does anyone think this is less about parking and more about protecting their view of downtown? I know the Cashew does wedding receptions and corporate parties on their upper levels. If a tall building was put to their north, it might affect some of that business. if so the air rights (deed restrict...

Google is your friend. dry cleaner 64108 is the search I did. adding 64105, 64106, 64108 gets you the targeted searches inside downtown by zip code Royal Master Cleaners. 1505 Grand. is the only one, if still open google street view shows they even have a drive thru. add that to the list of places t...
