Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner

Did they have one of the "added job" requirements for this shit hole project? To be fair I frequent the Wendy's and new Taco Bell's for lunch. I often eat my feelings working for the School District... ](*,)

I love this forum! You anonymous people truly entertain me. That being said, I very much respect the passion I read in the posts and the knowledge gained. Now back to that glass; particularly on the new LIVE CONVENTION HOTEL!

Re: Two Light - 14th & Grand

A 40 story office tower east of Grand is what KC really needs to change the skyline. Cerner.... 12th & Grand - best location in all of the city is sitting empty. It's beyond all logic, even business sense that this massive hole exists. I've heard all the arguments - need a tenant, blah, blah, b...

Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner

In Cerner's case they are going after college grads who would more likely want to live downtown anyway. And downtown is getting schools and developing towards family living anyway, so many may not 'grow out of city living', as it this the case with professional leaning families in much larger citie...

Re: Did section 8 housing kill Bannister Mall?

Warford IS THE PREMIER of the district (actually not a terrible school). Smith Hale Middle, where I work, is pretty rough. I'll have my third all new administration team in as many years. From the school stand point, IMO, with out a lack of cohesiveness in our school buildings many of the problems w...

Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner

Just drove by this turdhole today; when will any more new buildings go up? Also, what are the chances Cerner would ever build DT KCMo?

Re: Harlem district to E of downtown aiport

However there's a buzz and projects afoot there as well as some great events and cool stores. Harlem would be one of those new gritty on the edge neighborhoods if someone would take a real interest in it and see it's potential.

Re: Harlem district to E of downtown aiport

I always thought Harlem could become the next West Bottoms in terms of an urban renaissance neighborhood. I know it would take a lot, but those would be some killer views of the city.

Drove through CP yesterday; the new apartments look beyond terrible and cheap. This would have been an amazing opportunity for a denser and taller neighborhood. Then again, where would everyone have parked?!? Idiots.

Re: 1721 Walnut

I don't mind the exterior, but I'm so not a fan of the interior. IMO the whole minimalistic and industrial feel is not welcoming, unless the building was industrial to begin with. When developers do it w/ new construction it just comes off as contrived at best. Honestly, I would like to see some sof...
