How credible is this?
I think there is a good chance, especially with the proposed location being right across from the arena. They are pretty excluse though (only 8 total) so you never know. Hopefully Cordish's connections come through but it wouldn't surprise me to see a Fox Sports Grill, an 810 grill, or something els...

The Star: Pull Union Station out of mediocrity
http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/9403517.htm Perhaps the main attraction will be the lounge car, also known as the observation car, built in 1951. The car has an art deco motif, with curved overhead lighting, upholstered easy chairs, wood blinds and wood-veneered walls. ... The items include...

The tenant names are simply the proposed ones and saying that they will be there is nothing but speculation. There hasn't been any information about specific tenants released and there probably won't be for a few more months. Other than that, the rest of the article looks fine.

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District
I think the overall district (Arena, Block, Jones Store block, P+L building, 14th) is called Power and Light District and the specific block planned with the atrium/staged area in the middle of bars and nightclubs will be called "KC Live!" or "P+L Live!." The KC Live! concept is...

Yael's column
Yael is against a downtown stadium, isn't he? But anyway, I loved the part where the Bi-State people said "the plan on November's ballot was superior to a downtown ballpark." It is? Based on what? Just the fact that it is cheaper? The part where they say that anyone who votes against it is...

I'm not familar with the locations and development of some of the new, cheaper ballparks but $250 million seems a bit small for the proposed location. You've got to buy the Red Cross building, demolish it, and improve the infrastructure and that is before you even start building the thing. Maybe if ...

Financing a new stadium
I just don't think a financing plan like that is realistic with the Royals and David Glass. It'd be great but I would be incredibly shocked if Glass stepped up and payed $200 million for a new stadium. I mean, this is the same guy who is throwing freaking $15 million in with Bi-State. Uh huh.. And I...

Well that is incredibly stupid. I'm not a huge fan of the arts so I guess we should shut down all of our museums. That makes sense...pittsburghparoyal wrote:I want to punt the Wizards. No one in America cares about MLS.

New hotel next to Sprint Center
Does anyone know where they plan to build H&R Block Phase II? And what is directly above the President block? You can't really see from that angle. Also, what about the P&L mixed use project? What is the chance of that happening? And just to have something on topic, is a new downtown hotel r...

Here's what Devin was saying: Thu 22:32] WoodDraw: Ok Devin, I'm still confused. What are you trying to say in the Gehry thread about those building being in KC? [Thu 22:33] KCDevin: I was saying the DESIGNS are being built in KC or are proposed for KC, not the actual buildings [Thu 22:34] WoodDraw:...

Juan needs to be traded IMMEDIATELY. Any team will take him and we can get players that aren't injured as easily as him. Plus players that are as good as Mike Sweeney or as powerful as Ken Harvey or Matt Stairs. And again, what? Juan is out for the season and even if he wasn't it would be hard to f...
