Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?
KCPT Flatland tonight had round table discussion on midtown housing with Gerend, Bunch, guy from KC Tenants. Developers invited but no show. Good point brought up was that lack of new construction will drive rents up on existing housing stock.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I can live with the ball park super block since McGee is already not a through street with T Mobile on the north and Crown Center in the south. But losing Oak would cause me to vote no.

Any news on this project? To get any of it done by the time of the World Cup would be equivalent to the convention hall fire rebuild over a century ago.

Unattractive building, but 2 more floors and 29 additional units on the streetcar line is a plus. Too bad the developer cannot see the goodwill they could gain by saving that small bank facade

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
The Oak corridor could be argued to be the chief north south street of the city as it extends from north of the river and then south via Oak, Gillham, Rockhill, Holmes all the way to Loch Lloyd. Then needlessly drop a wall onto it?

Where is Oak going? Under the complex? The view is centered directly on AT&T.

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Superbowl victory parade is the closest thing in the modern world to an ancient Roman triumphal parade. Then the victorious heroes marched into the city down the Via Sacra, around the imperial basilicas to the base of the Capitoline hill that was capped with temples above. Along the way they displ...

The "KANSAS CITY" signs put up on the US port cocheres for the NFL draft are back up. Wonder what else from the draft will be recycled for the victory celebration on V day.

Road deck has been removed from the north arch of old bridge. Superstructure should be coming down soon. Still no takers to recycle? Probably will get melted down.

Re: New Chiefs Stadium
Many of the newer football stadiums seem to have one side of the stands mostly a 5,6,7 story wall of private enclosed boxes. Just wondering how they will achieve this at Arrowhead, Would seem it would take a lot of the overall capacity out.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Don't think we should hagiographize differing opinons as good guy or demonize others as bad guys. I think most here are good guys, gals, or whatever is the gender neutral equivalent. I may vote no not due to minutely different locations, but based upon what I perceive as greater unmet needs that nee...
