Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
Unforked opened there four years ago. It was impossible to not know, they announced it a year prior and had signs up for months. Sheridans moved to their spot even further back, it's been so long I forget when it was. Goes to show how far down the priority list CC is for me. I do feel a slight bit ...

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
One thing I noticed, though, is Unforked and Sheridans moved into the first floor of CC. I had no idea Jim was going to open location there after pulling up stakes in Olathe and OP. Kudos to him for investing in CC and downtown. That might be enough to get me back there this spring/summer. Unforked...

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
I've been to CC more times than I can remember since the early/mid 90's. Most recently stopped in for free parking last Saturday night with the family just to get out and walk around a bit since we haven't been there since the Christmas season began. CC has always always seemed a little depressing t...

Re: Ballpark Village v4.7 (st. louis)
I think something along the same lines - and proportional - would look cool in the P&L area or even the Crossroads. Not necessarily on top of a structure either.

Re: Ballpark Village v4.7 (st. louis)
Awesome pix. I was there in June. Businesses were beginning to open and patrons slowly starting to take advantage and hang out. This, combined with the recently completed Arch grounds, has been a really nice upgrade to downtown. The walkability between the two is fantastic - especially when compared...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Speaking of stadiums. There’s a great series on YouTube that follows the construction of the new Raiders Allegiant Stadium in vegas. While I hate the raiders, I can’t wait to attend a game out there. The stadium design looks to be one of the best in the world. If you’re talking about the one narrat...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Just looking at the rendering, showing the aerial view. If you rotate the stadium counter clockwise, to make home facing for North than North East it would give you some better views from right field side of stadium and options to fill in the outfield with building views. The FED Courthouse might e...

I can’t see Bell being a factor.
Taco Villa moved out a year or two ago. Relocated to 135/Nieman, or thereabouts.

Re: Ward Parkway Center
There are pad sites available in front of Menards east of Lions Choice. There also a Chipotle in front of academy Sports across the street from Lions Choice. Not sure if it matters to Torchys if there’s another Mexican style restaurant that close.

Re: Ward Parkway Center
I was wondering the same thing. The only two mattress stores that immediately come to mind are on Rawhide and further north at Olathe Pointe, which is probably the location being considered. edit: Olathe Pointe location: There was a "Prime Sleep" location in the same freestanding building ...

Re: Ward Parkway Center
The wife and I drove over to Ward Pkwy Mall a couple of days ago around the 6 o'clock hour. Torchy's was flat out buzzing! Place was packed. We decided to come back another time. Can't wait to try it out. I'm curious as to what it can be compared to - even if loosely - to anything we might already h...
