Re: Lincoln Yards Chicago

It looks like there are about 3 pharmacies and a costco and target not very far from this project (all within a mile). I'm assuming there would be ped bridges set up if this project ever gets completed

Lincoln Yards Chicago

Saw this new project being considered in Chicago on the North Side near Lincoln Park Neighborhood. I wish we could get something built like this in KC. This project looks massive, who knows if it gets fully built. Wonder if Amazon HQ2 would consider this spot if it starts moving along? http://www.ch...

Re: California Based Company

If its a California based company my bets would be on the Hillstone Restaurant group, the ones that own Houston's, Hillstone, and a bunch of other upscale concepts

Re: OFFICIAL - KC Star building redevelopment

"A sports pub with several outdoor sand volleyball courts on the north side of the property at the northwest corner of 17th and McGee" I dunno, the sand volleyball courts just seems so weird to me. Wonder if we would be the first city in the US to have sand volleyball courts in a central downtown s...

Re: Lions Choice

These locations suck for me to be a regular but I am hoping one day that the Raising Canes in Westport goes out of business and can be replaced by a Lions Choice. It seems like the metro has hit peak Chicken Finger restaurants with a wave of Raising Canes, Slim Chickens and Zaxby's over the past 3-4...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

We are just a few years from Harold Pener Mens Wear and 7th Heaven taking over Tiffany's and Urban Outfitters will they be able to afford the rent? It was more of a joke to imply that the Plaza is no long a premier shopping area which i don't really care, i would rather see it be a neighborhood wit...

Re: Branson

A car accident is not the same thing in my opinion because you have more control in the car because your the one driving, you can control so many factors while behind the wheel and limit risk. You can even limit risk as a passenger observing potential risks (I'm a bad backseat driver). When it comes...

Re: Branson

Horrible Tragedy last night. If NTSB warned about this particular Duck Boat then why didn't the state do anything about them? All the life jackets in the world wouldn't have saved most people because the way this Duck Boat is designed. It really makes me question if I want to do any kind of Tourist ...

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

I don't understand the psychological difference either...but I feel safer on a bike in the street than a scooter...by a wide margin. Maybe just my confidence level on scooters? You know you can just use your feet on the scooters and do it manually if you don't like the electric part of the scooter

Re: Lions Choice

I hope so, Lion's Choice beats the pants off Arby's in every conceivable way. I've volunteered to unnecessarily join work day trips to St. Louis because there's a Lion's Choice by the office there. I can finally broaden my food choices in St Louis now because it seemed like every St Louis trip invo...

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

I almost had a collision with a pair of scooters this morning as I turned a corner from 18th onto Baltimore. Two were riding beside each other on the sidewalk and yelled at me to "get the f*** out of the way." That would piss me right off, where they young punks or something? You should have said "...

Freesytle Poke is not open until 2am, it closes at 10pm and I'm assuming most prepwork is done at 8am or so. I'm assuming this person maybe works a 2nd or 3rd shift kind of job and is bitching

Re: Fringe Fest 2012 - July 19-29

Wonder if its just due to lack of Corporate sponsors in these events so it prevents them from being able to really market this stuff on a wide scale? Jazz in the Woods which I always thought was successful was cancelled this year due to lack of sponsorship. I mean KC even does a pretty poor job at m...

Re: Fringe Fest 2018 - July 19-29

It seems like they never do enough to promote this, the website kind of stinks, i can't figure out a way to filter by venue. I really don't think a lot of people know about this except the art community but I feel like it should be one of the larger events in KC to get people interested in the arts ...
