Save the TWA building!
My definition of infill: The use of vacant land within a built-up area for further construction or development, especially as part of a neighborhood preservation or limited growth program. So there is a lot of vacant land (parking lots) and some 1-3 story heavily deteriorated buildings (blight) whic...

Save the TWA building!
Why hasn't anyone mentioned this building? Is no one upset it is slated for demolition? Why would Cordish want to tear this building down? I realize it's under-utilized, if used at all, but I would think it could be rehabbed for more loft apartements. Cordish is planning on building residential towe...

Cordish in news - 4th street live! ACLU & dress code
But the streets are public property and should remain that way. Individual businesses can do whatever they want within the law as far as dress codes, etc. That's their right, but you can't take that crap to the streets.

I agree with Chirizow, this is total BS. I'm not up-to-date on the P&L Live project...are the public streets going to be turned into private hands? I hope not. This is taking gentrification to the streets. What if someone buys or rents a loft in this district, and they happen to be wearing a spo...

I didn't read that critique of Soldier Field anywhere. It's all opinions anyway. I happen to think it is outstanding, and a breathe of fresh air for American stadium design, which had been getting to near cookie-cutter conditions. (How many "historical looking" brick downtown base ball par...

Gehry also isn't totally unfamiliar with KC. A majority of the projects he designs get fabricated right here in town by A. Zahner Co. Go drive by and check out their warehouse/shop at roughly 9th & Lydia, and you may see some Gehry panels out there right now. Check out Gehry's Chicago Millinieum...

KC Royals downtown.....brilliant! Too much whining going on about "which exit from the interstate would I take my precious SUV on??" A stadium doesn't have to be "conveinently" located right next to an interstate highway like some truck stop. Do you think they worried about inter...

Old Train Yards in River Market
I heard they (they being the property owners of many of those apartments on Delaware, also the Library Lofts and Soho West among others) were going to build a new apartment building on the former train yard site just north of the Burlap Loft building, at the end of Delaware Street. Granted, this inf...
