Does KCRag get all the credit for the 3 vs. THREE or just the majority?

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion

The way to get votes is access to jobs. It's why NKC works so well as a destination. Just based on ridership potential it's not there at all, the line is about bringing people to NKC. It's why I so like the idea of crossing I-35 to get to NKC Hospital. It's why I like a line to KU Med, for the jobs...

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!

To be fair Northland does have some good places, not really sure if many of them are in city limits though. I mean NKC has breweries and Gladstone has that Vietnamese strip

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion

It’s not screwed it’s just not as good of an option. There are other things we could do to link them up. Such as more frequent buses. It’s not like troost is all that far and won’t spur development over. Maybe they could even make a separate extension in the future that comes down Gregory. Brook si...

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion

Could run it down 55th to troost, I don’t much see the point in running it all the way to brook side. One of the main functions for the streetcar is the development potential which brook side has zero of. Troost on the other hand has a lot. I do think it would be useful in Waldo, but going through t...

Re: Affordable Housing

In a rapidly changing Midtown, some fear Streetcar expansion will price out neighbors https://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article253378943.html Super sloppy article from the Star. Home prices have quadrupled in Brookside in 30 years. That's already happened, and is continuing to happen. So I have...

Re: Future Stadium Plans: Chiefs and Royals

I know you all probably already know this, but you realize their parking and traffic jam logic can be dispelled in like 2 seconds by showing that when the TMobile center has concerts with 20k people the downtown doesn’t go to hell. Nobody ever says “I’m NOT going to that Britney Spears concert beca...

Re: Future Stadium Plans: Chiefs and Royals

You might see it that way but there are some people who just want cars and honestly do not give a shit if it’s bad for the city, environment etc. They wouldn’t see it as hypocritical because the only infrastructure they recognize is roads and highways. Which ironically downtown has more access to hi...

Re: Future Stadium Plans: Chiefs and Royals

Here’s another thing to think about I know the streetcar could never adequately take more than a few thousand to the stadiums but how about buses. There are loads of areas in KC that have adequate bus service to downtown which people might consider rather than driving. Parts of the Northland, East S...

Re: Future Stadium Plans: Chiefs and Royals

I want to throw this out there for y'all: Let's say Royals move and Chiefs have the whole place to themselves- instead of assuming they would just build up the lot a bit, wouldn't they be smarter to just move to Legends where the *exact* area is already they'd be looking to build up would already b...
