Re: Brookside
IMO, it's harder driving south on Brookside Rd and then trying to turn left onto Gregory - the light on Wornall makes it difficult. The left onto Meyer isn't all that bad IMO.

Re: Prairie Village
My cousin from NYC is going to be devastated. My Mom lives a block from there and she loves coming in every spring and having an entire Macy's to herself.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate that the north loop location is still getting brought up Probably because of Commerce Bank's influence on the Downtown Council, who's leading the discussion to keep it out of city hall. @lastgent I don’t think the public will get much say on location or design if they are to achieve their go...

Just under 4 years. Think how long it would have taken if they had wanted a liquor license?

We've been to Brewer's Kitchen twice in the past few months and it's been a stellar experience both times. Though the food/menu is pretty limited/basic, salads/burgers/apps, everything is done with top notch, fresh ingredients and is quite tasty. Great selection of local beers and the the cocktails...

Collison's new year review and potential things coming this decade... https://cityscenekc.com/greater-downtown-enters-new-year-ready-for-workers/ Developers are expected continue to pursue a possible City Target in 2020, and there is a solid rumor that Dollar General plans to open a DGX, its new ci...

Hadn't really heard too much about a SW Boulevard site - although I'm sure it was referenced somewhere in the past 550 pages. Interesting idea. Would love for something to be done with that area. There was a ballpark at SW Boulevard/Summit back in the late 19th century. I'm sure that fact will comfo...

Re: Uptown Shoppes
The strip mall structure has been entirely gutted - down to the cement columns. I assume they'll replace the store fronts when finishing. So, I imagine the original strip will be largely unrecognizable when done.

Brown's Cafe coming to 4709 Central https://compasskc.kcmo.org/EnerGov_Prod/SelfService#/plan/512d842a-59fb-4a3a-bdfe-6c09d1208bba?tab=locations Doesn't sound like a ax throwing ramen shop chain - so that's good. Wonder if it's the Brown's Deli folks branching out. Seems like they've been doing wel...

A friend of my family used to be the organizer of the Possom Trot Festival. Was basically a small scale santa caligon days type of thing in the Bottoms (I think). We used to have a lot PTF swag, but not sure whatever happened to it.

I was kind of suprised Mesob moved into that spot. They never really seemed that busy and service was kind of hit or miss. Have they gained that loyal of a following over the years? Not to my knowledge. As you said, this doesn't seem like a good fit. I'm just happy to be able to have that dish back...

I used to be for downtown ball, but I just don't have any passion for it like I used to. Do you have any passion for what the next generation, and beyond, would like to experience? Not if it comes at a high 9-figure cost to tax payers - no. And it's not like I said I hated downtown baseball. I'm ju...

Will this be a Hotel plus Casino? If so, what has happened to the existing casino at the Legends? Hollywood Casino is still there. Not sure how it's doing. I think it's still considered the nicest/newest casino in the metro. For whatever that's worth. This Hard Rock will not be a casino. But, it wi...
