Re: STL MLS proposal resurrection
It seems a little odd to me that they are putting the practice fields right there. I guess it would be nice for the team, but it seems like a waste of space - something that would be better suited in a more suburban area.

Re: 1650 Broadway
I wouldn't put any stock into that old rendering. Even when it was first made, I think it was more of a rough concept than an actual design. The scale/perspective on it seems totally off, so it strikes me as something that was slapped together hastily. From the description, it sounds like the new pl...

Re: Companies moving downtown
If 12-15 stories for $140M is accurate, then I think the shorter proposal for 13th and Grand could be a likely fit. Copaken Brooks doesn't seem to have renderings of that option on their website any more, but they do have this description: This iconic building would consist of a 10-story, 320,000 sq...

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.
Nothing that I have heard. There was the issuing of bonds in August and subsequent demolition on the NE corner. The last projected groundbreaking date was spring of 2020, so that still seems like a possibility, but that would mean updated plans/renderings may need to come out fairly soon to start go...

Some updates on the 3100 block of Troost: On the LCRA agenda for 10/23 is a tax abatement request by Legacy Crossing Development (the Clemons) for a tax abatement on 3110 and 3130 Troost: The applicant’s project is a $3,278,984 acquisition and rehabilitation of two small commercial buildings. The Ba...

Re: Companies moving downtown
I have a hard time believing Project Decoy could be anyone besides W&R. The overview says the jobs are new to the state of Missouri and to KCMO, but not to the metro/region. That makes me think it is safe to assume they are relocating from the KS side. Are there any other financial services firm...

Re: Companies moving downtown
Yeah, the trend of open/shared spaces requiring less square footage is more for tech/startup/creative businesses. I think W&R will be more on the traditional side with plenty of private offices. I think they could be over 250k sqft by themselves. The overview says they would be "part" ...

Re: "Tower East"
There were reports that Fud was going to reopen in the Crossroads around 19th and Wyandotte. In fact, I just checked, and Google maps shows them at that location. However, it seems like things have been quiet on this front for a while, so I'm guessing it may not be happening. I don't know who is beh...

It looks like Tria Health will be relocating their offices from OP to this development.
I'm not sure how many employees, or how much space they might take up.

Re: Troost developments
The last I heard, the general idea was to build on the street edge of Troost and 27th and put the parking in back, with access off of 27th. I think it would have worked without the extra parcel. It's a little frustrating that the redevelopment of both of the south corners got hung up on this other ...

Re: Wonderful Waldo
There appears to be a new commercial building in the works replacing the Waldo Antiques building on 75th St. It seems like an odd design: http://www.botwinrealestate.com/leasing/#/226-w-75th-st/ It looks like this project is back. Unfortunately, the link and images are dead. It sounds like it has c...

Some more documents pertaining to the PIEA agenda item have been uploaded and it looks like this related to a development to the S and SE of the Hilton Home 2 Suites at 20th and Main. The proponent is 2020 Walnut LLC, which is the address of the Superior Moving and Storage warehouse building. They a...
