Yes, yet another big 135th St. development...
DMW? That happened to me when I lived downtown in Quality Hill. I had a bunch of friends down from Johnson county for cocktails before we went out to the bars. When I opened the front door and announced we were walking they all asked me if it was safe to walk downtown? I also laughed my a$$ off.

Thanks for reminding me why I'll never live in JoCo again! These people are a joke. A walkway would invite strangers into their pristine neighborhood? Oooohhh, how scary. A stranger. Don't sidewalks lead to blight and drug deals? Or did this SUV-driving Buffy-Mom (pure speculation on my part) just ...

KU-OU game at Arrowhead finally official
I'll be there. KU has had a great season this year and will be even better next year. Even though we have lost 7 games we have lost 6 of them by an average of under 5 points. I can't wait for the KU-MU game. Rock Chalk.

Locations for Chiefs/Royals?
I mean the initial building project costs. They could get like $200 mil from each state and $50 mil from naming rights. That's $450 mil. Can a new stadium be built for that these days? Kansas has these STAR bonds and how much did MO chip in for St. Louis?

vStill supporting my original idea, I'd like to see the Wizards E of the downtown loop... It'd not only bring 15,000-20,000 people downtown per game, but it'd also possibly help desirability in that area. They'd require almost 20,000 spaces in a 3 block area... I figured they should have 13 floor p...

OP Convention Center
I was dragged out to the convention center a few weeks ago by a girlfriend of mine to attend the Junior League Holiday Mart. The parking situation was a joke. They have very few parking spots for events. The parking garage is reserved for guests of the hotel, and all of the buildings around there bl...

A 75 foot buffer zone and a 4 foot berm? Why don't these people build a moat while they are at it? Man , they sure would hate living in Brookside. LOL.

DMW, When is that election? I'm just curious. I went to grade school with Ricky for a couple of years when he lived in Lawrence. His Dad was our pastor, his Grandmother was my faraternities housemother, and his ex-wife is our veterinarian. I thought he was a great state legislater. I think he would ...

I think the Brush Creek trail would be better utilized if it connected to the Trolley Track Trail in a pedestrian friendly way. A pedistrian tunnel under Volker perhaps? As it is now the Trolley Track Trail runs into Volker with no clear indication of how to get to the Brush Creek Trail, an obstruc...

I thought it was an interesting article also. While the outer sprawl is mostly Republican, the inner core which has always been Democrat is spreading out. I have noticed more Kerry signs in JoCo than Republican signs.

I toured the view last weekend and also thought it was kind of isolated but very nice. I toured 21 10 also and the real estate agent there told me that wallstreet was Johnson Countyish. I didn't have time to go through wallstreet but I liked 21 10's location better.

A lot of the taxes collected in Johnson county comes from Jackson countians. I know that living in Brookside we don't have access to a lot of things the burbs have. I tend to shop in JoCo a lot because it is closer than driving to E. Jack or NOR. If I need to go to a Best Buy, Michaels, Hobby Lobby,...
