Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Simply not accurate. They announced it themselves at 2pm and my post was not 8 minutes later. Even Sam stated it didn't come with a document funning on them. Yes I did say they aren't making it easy on themselves. They weren't. They fixed it. Good for them getting it out there through Manny. Moving ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
See, that's not so hard. Much better. Where does the Crossroads neighborhood association agreement get finalized? Isn't that where the Royals committed to reimbursing displaced businesses? This was my point. Have just a least bit of patience. I simply asked where the documentation was and you came ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
People have unreasonably high expectations. Maybe they’ve agreed to terms but each sides lawyers are converting it into a legally binding agreement? Maybe they’ve agreed to the total dollar figure but need to decide on allocation totals per specific section. The largest CBA in MLB is skipped over f...

Re: Sad...
Who is Bunch? Anti development? I don't follow KC politics anymore. Although it seems like the mayor is trying? He's far from anti-development. 4th district younger guy and tends to not just do the normal councilperson stuff. Bikes to city hall, fights for bike lanes, he really gets under the skin ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
It wasn't the addition of the chiefs. That vote of that tax was always going to be split. This specifically is to help the royals actually build a whole new stadium in a whole new place. I assume city ask will be around infrastructure stuff

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I mean not really right? First off the tax being voted on isn’t exclusive to Jackson county residents. It’s a sales tax on anything bought in JaCo by anyone. The city will probably issue municipal bonds that shouldn’t be paid for by the tax payers . Then who pays for those bonds? To clarify. No new...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
the center median is well used by commercial traffic. I love the look of the medians better for sure but you'd have to account for them somewhere. Main Street isn't a parking lot. Uber eats and other drivers need to quit using it as one too. The area has alleys, parking lots, loading docks, and sid...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
During a conversation with Populous, I was told that while the current plan includes closing Oak, they are looking at several different options. I get the feeling they don't see it working without closing Oak though. Interesting news to me however, they claim Oak will remain open to pedestrians, in...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
"committed" Yeah…… it’s part of the negotiation process before any kind of development agreement is reached. I know you all know this but you’re being very pessimistic. What do you want? A signed agreement they will spend a billion dollars before they even know how the stadium is going to...

Re: New Riverfront Women's Soccer Stadium
how are most people accessing the stadium since there apparently isn't much parking? park in river market and walk down, uber, or what? I walked from the River Market starting at about 10am at the town of Kansas bridge. There was a solid stream of walkers ahead of me and behind me. The energy and e...
