I agree, those tenants kind of made me laugh.....Steiner is pulling a lot better tenants up north. I always heard a Lord & Taylor was going to be part of that deal....who knows.

There is room for both if RED would quit biting Steiner's ankles and trying to take their tenants.....

Yeah we were talking about this some where else on here but I guess it wasn't in the right spot.

Good start for using the underused Brush Creek. Only thing it's used for now is runners and the underpasses are a good place for a couple of the regular bums to hang out.

Don't know how many have seen this but there is a new auto mall going up between Barry Rd. and Tiffany Springs Parkway on I-29. So far I've seen a Toyota, Nissan, & Saturn dealership. I have also seen construction signs for Lexus and Volvo and there are about 2-3 more lots open for other dealers...

Looking at what Steiner pulls in I wouldn't be surprised if they got C&B and gameworks up there at Zona Rosa....

those are a couple retailers that seem to be in alot of their developments. There are going to be a lot more tenants announced before that place opens.

yeah I think so...C&B is a little more exclusive...a lot fewer stores...closest one I think is in Chicago

I hope they don't go there really.....just a thought...I really hope something entertainment based goes in there.

kind of combining two subjects but some had talked about how Crate & Barrell really wanted into the KC market.... this could be a perfect size site for them...although I'd rather see something entertainment like a Gameworks or something....although that would probably be pretty "trashy"...

Price of land I'm sure is part of it....hard to find an area to place a 1,000 spot surface lot in the city (unless you're at Linwood & Main )

That talk of those mini-Wal-marts would be good for areas downtown....

Is a typical C&B about the size of say Restortation Hardware on the plaza?

That's going to be my new target...I'm afraid to go there to see how busy it is though.

Glad these types of businesses are mixing themselves into established communities, not just buying up land on the edges to keep promoting sprawl.

I have tried to ride the bus but with my job being around the airport...catching a bus from the plaza would require me to board my first bus at 5:30....not happening..... MO and transportation issues just don't mix...especially right now. How much easier it would be to be the only big city in the st...

as we were talking before, Crate & Barrell as been talked about but I doubt it...that place is too big. Lord & Taylor was rumored to be going into the new Walk at High Pointe mall at 135th or whatever but would also be a good fit there I would think. go to zonarosa.com and check out the East...

Well what's the latest on DST's Kirkwood Circle development? I heard they were trying to buy out the area by Caberet, Peanut, etc. to revamp and make a little more upscale. Caberet has sold and is looking for a place to move to.

When are they supposed to start doing something?

Anybody heard anything on this lately? Last I heard, they were looking at building a high profile tower directly NE of the PAC...kind of tying themselves in with that and the expanded Bartle.
