Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
The Chiefs are going to be getting the TSC to themselves and can finally turn The K into practice fields/training area. And, I don't know what a "signature city project" is necessarily, but it sounds an awful lot like something that is expected to receive 100% public financing. Which I wil...

Re: The Future
Would Patreon be an option?
Another forum I like to visit offers the chance to donate as well - and they give a little icon to those that do. https://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/st ... on/support
Maybe one of those models could work.

I find nothing interesting or compelling about that stadium design.

Re: Lions Choice
I still have never seen one anywhere. If they ever choose to come to KC, maybe I'll give one a shot. Ha, are you saying you aren't driving as far east as you can go in Independence or way down south of 435 in OPKS for fast food? Maybe you are waiting for the new location in Liberty to finally open ...

Re: OFFICIAL - The Continental Apartments (former Mark Twain Tower)
When I worked there the lobby connected directly to the parking garage to the North and that's where everyone leased spots from. It was functionally the same as having internal parking. I can't imagine they changed that, but I could be wrong.

Re: Kansas, Missouri battle over companies
MMGY Global is moving from their building across from the Bernstein Rein building and out to the Edison District in downtown OP. I worked there when they moved into that building from the Mark Twain building. Never loved the Plaza space - it wasn't all that nice. That spot wasn't exactly great for c...

https://www.facebook.com/Queen-Priscillas-107212834107086/ That is a weird spot, but I will definitely give it a shot. Although, I'm pretty sure I said that about AnaMarina that was there before. The link above does say their open, but not sure. No real activity on Facebook. Apparently it's a "...

Been following BritChief on Twitter for a while. He is a hoot.
There's also a "Baseball Brit" on Twitter who is a huge Royals/KC fan. He toured the US all year watching major and minor league ball. Well worth the follow.

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, 17.5% of tickets? That is a joke. The tickets on the re-sell market are obscene, just getting in the door is around 4k-5k, plus another 1k in fees to the third parties. Literally out of reach of most of Kansas City and even dedicated season ticket holders mostly don't get to go. Furtherm...

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I definitely agree with regards to the second part - playing every day in the MLB playoffs creates an energy/momentum in the city that is unparalleled. The Gomes example is interesting - because I don't think anyone really thought of him as a local star until the parade. Maybe I'm misremembering. I ...

Re: New Broadway Bridge
The Bond Bridge only cost $25M? Really? I thought the bridge itself was closer to $75M and the entire project (all of the interchanges up north to the 35/29 split was something like $250M. Maybe I'm completely misremembering. But $25M sounds awfully affordable.

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like it. A longer route in terrible weather could be problematic for parade participants, but it sure would probably be easier for attendees to actually see something. And, on the off chance the weather is good, a TON of people will show up for it. Now go outside, turn around three times and spit....

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If Houston didn't attempt the fake punt that turned into Chiefs' first touchdown they probably would've controlled rest of game. Odd call. It's a debatable call, but they're giving us the ball back either way. Yeah, the short field helped, but it's not like their defense was really shutting us down...

If they didn't figure out it's going to be closed long before now I don't know what to say. Thanks for calling my family stupid for no reason. You must be a blast at parties. My cousin from NYC is going to be devastated. My Mom lives a block from there and she loves coming in every spring and having an entire Macy's to herself.
