Re: Rams leaving St. Louis?
"It's a hard to drive 3-4 hours to a game approx. once a month." I do some traveling south of KC on Sundays. You would be surprised at the number of cars in that direction fly Chief's flags on that day and/or are wearing red. So I can just imagine the numbers coming from other directions ...

Re: Rams leaving St. Louis?
Some fans will doubtless go to games based on dislike of a team but certainly many will just be pragmatic about it. A Rams fan from Hannibal, MO is slightly closer to KC. A fan from Cape Girardeau is much closer to Nashville than either Chicago or KC. One from Springfield, IL will doubtless change t...

The purpose changed fairly recently then because it was originally part of the retail component of the area per the county. This is the legal name NORTHGATE VILLAGE RETAIL CENTER 3RD PLAT LT 2 This is the owner NORTHGATE SENIORS PHASE 4, LP 2nd plat, lot 2 is the restaurant, 3rd plat lot 1 is owned ...

NKC senior living expansion (was going to be a medical park)
There's construction fences up at 32nd and N. Oak, which had signs for a medical park up for years

"Just the billed labor for a team of 5 could exceed half your number. Less than $100 per hour and you can't pay the admin overhead costs." I have a friend who did some engineering overview for a few city projects years back. This was the type of work that he performed for the city before ...

Re: We need a new airport!!!
This did not happen. Explain The cost is laughably unrealistic from facts available on the ground. The city overflow project is doing 16 foot deep tunnel at $10,000 per foot. It's going to be 13000 feet long. One 9400 foot 30" main is $5 million. Either you're grossly unaware of the real costs...

Do they mean they plan to buy more properties and build more retail structures around the existing Plaza buildings? For example, on the cleared hillside on the north side of W. 46th Terrace between Broadway and Pennsylvania, that V-shaped parcel between Roanoke Parkway and Madison, and on the east ...

Re: Rams leaving St. Louis?
Sports have long been about selling merchandise, games, and such. Look at the entire Madden franchise. Sure, LA would bring more game money than St. Louis from higher ticket prices but it also brings WAY more licensing money than St. Louis ever could. 3 million vs 13 million people is a big deal. Wh...

Well, looking at this video on the Macerich website, most of their properties appear to be bland malls, but it looks like we can expect plenty of very attractive females walking around the Plaza in slow motion soon! http://www.macerich.com/#overview I was watching the video when I took a look at th...

In other words, you're asking how many businesses and developments we'll lose if we stop subsidizing them. As I've tried to point out repeatedly, this is the wrong question; the right question is how much to pay, for what. This is a good point. TIF should be a one trick pony meant to fulfill a form...

Is Municipal even adequate in terms of runways? For the types of planes MCI currently sees, it looks like it would be fine. All the runways at Midway are shorter than 1-19, for example. I don't think it would even be that much of a nuisance for most of the city since the approach path mostly goes o...

Remind me the projects of similar scale and type that have been completed in this area that aren't receiving incentives. The Helzberg built garage is the second one. I'm excluding the PAC too. The law doesn't say if 5 projects don't get incentives then others can't. it says the area has to be one t...
