Transit center nears completion

City Manager Robert Heacock estimated that Independence’s new transit center, under construction just northeast of Independence City Hall, should be ready by the end of August.

i'm watching now. chastain is much calmer than the last time i saw him speak publicly, but he did offer a supporting document from wikipedia as his first visual aid... oops!

Liberty Memorial tower will reopen

The tower at the Liberty Memorial will reopen today after having been closed since last Tuesday because of an apparent suicide.
