Re: The End of Oil
Here is a wild idea for renewable motor fuel. We all know that restaurants and food processing facilities generate gallons of grease from frying meat to the used fryer oil. Not to mention the packing houses that trim fat off of roasts and steaks just to send to places like Darling International. I k...

They do not even have to assault you. Cut yourself and say they did it.

Re: Eviction proceedings
Hey it was used on me last year. I was evicted from my own house with a restraining order. Not only did it get me out of the home but it also put an eviction on my rental history. The person that evicted me later was evicted from the home by the trailer court and that placed another eviction on my h...

Re: Eviction proceedings
The cheepest is to go for a restraining order on this person. not only do you get your apartment back but the belongings that he was forced to leave behind as he probably can not gather all of his stuff in 10 minutes.

Re: P&L District: 13th & Walnut Site Proposal
Here s a question for anyone that knows. We have had some real good rain storms move through our area. How good is the covering over the live courtyard at keeping the rain off of the center of the courtyard. I know that he ends are pretty much out in the open but I am wondering if the material holds...

Re: 21Ten Roof Problems?
It sounds like they need to get a reputable roofing contractor to rip off the errors that others made and start over. I do not know where this building is but the roofing trade is probably the worst for shoddy workmanship and the people that pay for the work end up suffering in the long run.

Re: Storm damaged Qwest Center, Omaha
Do you have any evidence to back up your outrageous accusations? I zoomed in the photos and looked at the construction and saw steal studs used to frame up the exterior of that shaft. The panels look like all they are is interior grade sheetrock instead of plywood or particle board. The panels also...

Actualy that looks like shoddy workmanship like the first photo. It just goes to show how contractors are cutting corners to get the job done quicker.

Re: What operating system do you use?
I actualy have Umbuntu on my system that I can use at any time. I have it set to either boot into Umbuntu or XP. The only drawback to Umbumtu is that it runs only a limited number of devices. My brother printer for example will not run.

Re: Poll: Power & Light District Dress Code
As KCPowercat said dress codes do not discriminate. The good thing about dress codes is that it keeps the environment pretty consistent. The hoodlum look either black or white can make a regular patron of a bar or restaurant a little uneasy. Even for a person to go to church in blue jeans can make t...

Re: Park Service looking to redo Arch grounds
One thing that can be done at the park is to place a deck over I 70 between Market and Chestnut and between Northbound and Southbound Memorial Drive to make the park more like a one piece of land. I already know that most of the park is man made but is considered a national park. the resulting deck ...

Re: Trek-out
I liked Picard over Kirk. The overall show (TNG) was better done with the effects and costuming. Lucile Ball and Dessi Arnez kept the original series kind of bland in comparison to the new stuff.

I am now at a crossroads on this issue now as recently I started smoking again. So restaurants that no longer allow smoking now are kind of a inconveniance.

Re: Indy 500 - version 92.0
Thanks for the pictures. I was there back about 1997 and did the 2 miles of indy. I was impressed with the track back then as well as now. I found it amazing that the houses on the west side of the grandstands actually rent out their yards for parking. to bad that Danica Patric did not finish the ra...

Re: Five Guys and their Awesome Burgers
Speaking of burgers. I have a strange flavor combination that I have tried and it really tastes good. I have tried a burger that I put cream cheese on the bottom then turn the patty over and place strawberry's on the top of the patty. This burger kind of lends itself to a desert burger and surprisin...
