and for your 14,000th post on the rag, you have to be negative. shocker!

i like the seats. and they will get plenty of use in year one.

wow... after 105 pages of missives, will this thread suddenly go silent? i don't think you can handle that (or contain yourselves). so you dont like sports, and you hate bashing of kc political issues. what is the point of you posting here, since those are the hot topics on here all of the time?? y...

i would say it is pretty special when the likes of tom brady, a-rod, barry bonds, peyton manning, et al, come to kc to play, and we tax their pretty salaries.

Re: Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort

seriously, if this thing were getting built in kcmo or anywhere on the missouri side, the press, tv and print, would be all over it, questioning the schedule, that they are way behind, the promises versus what is being delivered, all that shit. there is an assload of tax money involved in this devel...

Re: TSC Renovations

the argument i get from MD and metro now, is fuck it , why have subsidized sports at the tsc, so lets get an nhl or nba franchise. umm, okay, and that is diffferent how exactly? i mean, they move here, we give them a publicly built arena that they get revenue from. so what is the difference? "s...

Re: AMC coming to Empire, Midland to be restored...

I don't remember that.  I do remember the possible reuse of the jones store sign. If they did replant a tree my guess is it would be on the roof park above the grocery store. yeah, it was in a kevin collison arcticle. and in an email he sent out. said tree was too entangled and snared in the roof t...

if you go to the wiki page on crown center, it says how crown center shops are not profitable and just for area employees, listing this section of the kcrag as its reference point. and it is totally not true.

Re: Medtronic considering KC for relocation

No way can you support a family on that salary.  You could, but you would have to live in a very modest home in a very modest part of town unless you have a dual income. yet lots of people do. best cooks in kc still make like $14 an hour, and have to support a family on that. it can be done. sure, ...

Re: Medtronic considering KC for relocation

You could barely survive on 31k.  No way you could raise a family on that without skipping meals.  What a joke. i have many employees that make between 24-32k and lead very happy lives, and are very happy with their wage and their lot in life. they really are. many of them raise kids on that wage, ...

Nothing is remotely close to being assembled, though they are starting work again this week.  May or June opening is IMPOSSIBLE.  I hope they would not open with just the one little river, because its as big as that Nile ride at WOF and would not make much of an impression.   The people running thi...

Re: Kansas City May Lose Chiefs, Royals to Budget Deficit

i understand where the mayor is coming from, trying to find some money in this horrible economy, but an issue such as the stadiums that went through public referendum is not really the place to start. there are other areas of the city budget that would cause less of a ruckus

Thanks Nostradamus  :) you bet. march the 10th is todays date, yes?? okay, well, they are opening june, or july, or may, or august. one of the 4. one would deduct an outdoor water park does not open in kansas city in september. and more than likely, not august either. so we have narrowed it down to...

Re: TSC Renovations

DC was the only one I looked up (it's recent unlike your first few, and I was curious to see if it was really 100% financed). As usual, you are 100% incorrect.       Ownership pays $5.5M/yr on a 30-yr lease.   Assuming these bonds were issued at 6%, ownership has essentially committed $92M o...

Re: Kansas City Officially Has A New Mayor - Mark Funkhouser

imagine if we spent the same money we've spent on the chiefs or the royals on any other amenity. don't you think we'd stand out among other metros more? (rhetorical question. the answer is yes.) the metro is falling behind other metros fast. other cities that were smaller than us and less recogni...
