It is a stand alone in that the buildings housing the bars is separate from the office and housing.

sounds great, but "during the next decade?" that seems like a pretty extended timetable. No doubt. I wish the City could somehow come up with a plan (funds) to cap 670 while simultaneously getting Cordish to start building these condo projects. Its all going to be contingent on this 1st t...

Re: Bannister Mall/Three Trails Development

Every piece of infill is a good piece of infill. As far as the tax books are concerned, leveraging existing infrastructure is the most important thing. Plus this will be a huge boon for the Hickman Mills school district, which is in dire need of an influx of cash. As cool as the soccer complex has ...

fyi; here's an updated image of the proposed apartment tower on the architect website. Interesting that they have a name on the tower called one light. i'm wondering if cordish is setting this up to have multiple towers...(e.g. two light, three light) etc. http://www.humphreys.com/portfolio/power-l...

Re: Bannister Mall/Three Trails Development

So other than downtown, where would be a better site? How about in the riverfront around Berkley Park? I don't know if they could fit 15k jobs there, but I'd bet it could be close. That would basically be a suburban island in the heart of the metro with the possibility for residential development a...

Re: Bannister Mall/Three Trails Development

Here is the most important part from the article IMO. Cerner did not say how long it might take to reach that employment level, only that the build-out would be based on the company's growth and occur during an extended period. Neither has the company announced when the first jobs might be added at ...

I was able to go on a really nice tour of Dark Horse's operations in Lenexa the other day. Very nice operation. Re: Sporting Kansas City

The MLS doesn't have an All Star Game to make existing fans happy. The MLS has an All Star Game to grow the brand. This is true. MLS vs. MLS will only bring in existing MLS fans, and with no reputation to protect, that type of matchup becomes totally worthless and uninspired. This I'm not sure abou...

We were in the south stand last night. Game aside (which sucked), I was underwhelmed with the whole thing. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of activities, etc, for fans before the game. Granted, most people tailgated, but I was expecting to see some "Test Your Skills" type of things ou...
