Re: OFFICIAL - Buck O'Neil Bridge
Bob Kerrey (Omaha), is a 3000 ft bike-ped bridge Do they have landscaping? As addressed in 1st comment, KC always fails at upkeep and maintenance and nothing shows that won't happen here. I assume you're opposed to the south loop cap on those grounds? Or the Green Line proposed for the freighthouse...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Nordstrom’s, Cinemark, Saks, and Starbucks blocks could be bulldozed and rebuilt with residential above retail and we wouldn’t loose anything. That's somewhat true. As I said the opportunities for what Earthling suggests are very limited and it would not add many residents unless built very high wh...

Re: NBA to Kansas City
why not nashville? Memphis already has a team in the same state. They also already have NHL & NFL in the winter sports section. Nashville is gunning very very hard for an MLB team though. They've got the ownership group ready, stadium plans already done and all. They don't have their eye set on...

Would have hoped for more than just the two small lines but I guess it’s better than nothing.

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion
This has never been a problem for me. Even in LAAlkaliAxel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 6:29 pm Isn’t one of the problems with running it in the center of Main St that riders would have to walk to/from the streetcar in front of traffic?
I know they’d put up a walkway or something but still…the hassle?

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion
You do realize that downtown OP is a streetcar/interurban suburb? It is layed out to be walkable and is rebuilding denser and more walkable everyday. East side KC streetcar is going to get a lot of pushback from “anti-gentrification” crowds. Remember 2014……. Northland and JoCo may very easily end up...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Amazon Air is on track to pass UPS as the second biggest cargo airline at KCI in 2022. Just a few million lbs difference in 2021 despite amazon starting in May. I would imagine UPS will catch back up once their expansion opens

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Y'all saying that the airlines are paying for it clearly don't understand how the world works. Besides, the actual construction IS being paid for by taxpayers. Airlines sign off on the Use & Lease agreement required to build the new terminal. 3 sources of revenue for the new terminal project. P...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
We are never getting back to 100. These are the kinds of cities that we once had but will never have again even if we had a hometown airline. STL has ~70 now which is about as much as we could hope for.

Re: Oxbow NKC (18th and Swift)
It drives me crazy that a building this tall -- that was announced fairly recently-- is being built in NKC. Yet, the former headquarters parcel for J.E. Dunn, between 9th and 10th and Charlotte and Holmes, doesn't have a similar building already built. There's no reason for it. They don't need that...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Airport construction process was pretty standard. Same architects and construction company used across the nations. Design is pretty similar to Love field which they told us is what we were getting back in 2017-2018. Keyword - "Standard" For small to midsize airports. That's not going to ...

Need to be able to show voters that their vote today lays the foundation for a greater system tomorrow. This map from the 2009 election did just that. metcalf absolutely has space for this South of 95th, yes, between 95th and 63rd will be an issue. Don't get me wrong, I want it and support it, but ...
