I feel like the one I read about was in the heart of London. I don't believe it had a drive thru.

Re: Fast Food Options

McDonalds has a new space-conscious "take-out-only" concept. Would be interested if that may be something that could work here. Seems like less overhead and some good opportunity for success. But I don't much about this kind of thing.

Re: Fast Food Options

interesting details shared here, especially the MCD's corporate mandates. I question the validity of the "No drive thru means no McD's". I have no doubt that McD's was not into whatever offer the franchisee was trying to do at P&L, but we're taking their word for it on this one? It's ...

Really? Am I going to have to be the first the one to say it? Where the hell is STL Dan when you need him?!?!?

The answer is Lion's Choice. Carry on.

Re: Xroads James Beard District

I wasn't blown away, to be honest - but everything was really good. Didn't really think anything was great. I had the beef tartare app and pork ragu pasta. Both were good - the pasta was really good - could've been a slightly meatier ragu, but was delicious. Took my mom and she really isn't an adven...

I think he's referring to the fact Nelle Peters was the architect for The Luzier.

So is Gillham Plaza Tower East or Martini Corner? So confusing.

Any, Robin Krause is opening a healthy/Australian grocery store in the Luzier building. Looks like a cool project.

Re: Westport

That new Wingman/Sweet Comforts opened in the old Doughnut Lounge space. Most everything there is breaded AND fried - which is not my favorite. There are a few sandwiches on the menu that look OK. The Sweet Comforts side of the menu is a bunch of dessert waffle combos and milkshakes. Was pretty crow...

Re: Westport

Drove through Westport yesterday and Papa Keno's now has signage on the door listing City Barrel Brewing. And the Chick-In Waffle opened recently - anyone been? Walked by the chicken/waffle place the other night on my way to WCB. Looked like a damn mess inside even though half of it was open. Misse...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

They operate a lot of strip malls and outlet centers. Likely not an improvement. Their brochure features a lot of centers with Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Saks, etc. Seems like they have plenty of comparable developments - The Forum shops at Caesers is pretty high end and notable. I ha...

Re: P&L District 10 years later

Sprint Center needs a pro tenant though. Every time I'm in KC, the P&L district is dead for days at a time. They must just do gangbusters when they are busy because I honestly don't see how most of those places stay open with such long stretches of very little traffic. I just don't know what ev...
