Re: Nelson-Atkins Expansion (YES..white glass is the end result)

Thanks for posting the pics, Rusty. All of them are needed to gain a true sense of the layout. Things have certainly changed since October, when I last visited the Gallery. Your "bonus" picture of the Plaza skyline absolutely belongs in the group because it is part of the "you are the...

What would you suggest a firsttimer order?
I don't know if it is still good, but their Steak Soup was legendary in its day.

Re: Best Missouri Vacation?

man, everybody jumps around from job to job, I've been at the same place for 9 years.  I hear you never get a real raise staying at the same place... It's true (IMO). Unless you get a promotion. During my career, I had to change jobs if I wanted/needed more money. You will eventually reach the poin...

Re: Best Missouri Vacation?

IMO-go to Branson! You've never been...it is truely a unique area. ...go to SDC...or a show, or whatever catches your interest. I suggest going to SDC though...because you can't really experience the Ozarks without going.  Branson isn't so bad...or expensive. ...give branson a try at least once in ...

Here are five more pictures from Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. This is some sort of flower thing with a barn in the blurred background. (The camera did that on purpose.) http://my.opera.com/Roanoker/homes/albums/58623/048BarnBackground2.jpg The original picture was portrait oriented. You are see...

I was okay with the larger ones, but the smaller ones will probably work better for most folks. Thank you for your extra trouble!

Re: New StL aerials

Grid, i enjoyed these photos. Me, too! Great pics! Might I ask of you to consider though sizing them to be no larger than around 700, so that the whole photo can be seen without scrolling. That would make things much easier. I use the Opera browser on a Mac. I discovered that if I hit Command-shift...

This is Tiger.  She had to be put to sleep yesterday...she was 14 1/2.  She lived a good life. I'm so sorry, Lock. Losing a dear pet is one of life's most difficult hurdles. Those of us who have experienced anything remotely similar are shedding tears for you right now and remembering our own losse...

Very nice pictures, Beermo. You took them from just the right vantage points. They almost appear to be in 3-D. And the colors are vivid. Plus, I appreciate restored cars. Thanks for posting!

Everybody should go to Branson at least one time in his life. There is something there for everyone.

I really don't know a whole lot about the inner workings of Gladstone, but from the outside looking in, they seem to have a real sense of community. One could do worse. I didn't "know a whole lot about the inner workings of Gladstone," either and still don't. The neighborhood I lived in w...

Re: cool underwater dunes

Nothing so romantic. But as a Flatlander native, the thing that drew me West(Southern Oregon) was definitely the chance to be close to the Ocean & Mountains. SF Gate tends to have cool movies & other junk on their Website from time to time, and I like to post em here, because this is the ty...

Ok, go ahead and move back to Gladstone.  I think Gladstoner is tired of being the only "cool" person there.   8) Nonsense!  Maybe you and Gladstoner can start a "Gladstone Cool Persons Club."   See?  Getting old can be fun!  As I get old, I hope I am one of these "cool old...
