Re: Politics
I remember that account, I don't remember them being doxxed. I do remember some people implying they might dox it with things kinda like "wouldn't it suck if your employer found out about X" or whatever, which is not the kind of discourse I would like to see, but it's also not, "fuck ...

Re: Is KC's restaurant scene in a slump?
I miss the lounge at bluestem so much sometimes. I assume the Garrelts are doing good with Rye--and Rye is good!--but the price/performance ratio of the bluestem lounge, especially when happy hours were half price, was just unreal.

There’s making threats to ban people from a forum, and making threats to share intentionally withheld personal information from a group of strangers on the internet… Threats are threats and he just made another one implying he has all the info, fuck u...

Re: Politics
You don’t think the democrats deserve any blame? They’ve spent 6 years now entertaining anything even slightly potentially damaging to Trump. Investigation after investigation. No rock left unturned. Now it’s his taxes. Will any of his supporters care that he embellished his wealth? Nope. Does anyo...

Not when I can help it, but I am mildly entertained that Musk's definition of "absolute free speech" apparently does not include anything that hurts his feelings or annoys him. Truly, we are blessed with only the bigliest narcissist billionaires in this country.

Fear mongering isn't fear mongering if it's true. He's already denied that election deniers are election deniers, I'm not sure at that point engagement is worth the effort.

I am annoyed by "woke culture" but I am way more annoyed by you pretending it is a bigger problem than election deniers.
Fortunately, they mostly lost. And gracefully conceded. Because they knew they were full of shit.

It seems like people look at 1/6 two different ways and shocking, it’s impacted by your bias. I think it was terrible and I’m glad those who had ill intentions are being prosecuted. Had this been done by a liberal mob I question if the same level of prosecution would he happening. Considering we ha...

No, sorry, inflation is Biden's fault. That's what the sticker on the gas pump said, and that's good enough for me.

Being more mad about the woke boogeyman--definitely annoying, but come on, how much of this is purely online performative bullshit (and of that, how much is just right wing trolling?)--than a literal conspiracy to subvert democracy, which almost succeeded and is by all indications going to be tried ...

Expressing the absurdity of attempting to draw equivalence between the political influence of, say, Big Oil and Big Science, doesn't seem rude or mouthy. Just... correct.

Re: New Coaster coming to WOF
IIRC World’s of Fun’s original “theme” was loosely based on Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne, hence the vaguely international themed ride names and the hot air balloon branding. Seems like that global premise would be an easy one to lean into, and has lots of precedent to look at I was al...

If it's going to be a giant dead zone anyway, keep it at the giant dead zone that is TSC? /shrug I dunno, like, seems logical to me? I was hugely HUGELY on a "bring the Royals downtown!" train around 2005, when I lived downtown and had just rediscovered the team I had watched religiously a...
