Re: How KC became center for high-tech without major univers

From my experience working in the tech industry, the single most important factor in the development of tech centers -- or, put another way, the single factor that most inhibits the growth of a flourishing tech center -- is the number of fresh CS BS grads it can attract. Those with postgraduate degr...

Re: Why Can't the West Bottoms Be Redeveloped....?

I've always thought it would be nice for the West Bottoms to be redeveloped into a technology park -- something akin to the riverside Neihu Technology Park in Taipei, an area of similar size and geography (effectively a flood plain) to the West Bottoms that currently hosts about 4,000 companies and ...

Losing 7,500 employees with an average salary of almost $100,000 would be a massive economic loss for OP / JoCo.

Who knows? Speculation is pointless but sometimes stimulating. Could be a domestic terrorist. Could be Islamist terrorists. Could be North Koreans (I only mention it because I saw this tweet on Bloomberg about 20 minutes before the attack).

I hope we will find out soon enough.

Re: Kansas, Missouri battle over companies

I am wondering when JOCO is going to start openly revolting against Brownback and this teaparty legislature. I can't find anyone over there who is happy with whats going on right now in KS (though my sample size is admittedly only 3-4 people :D ) It's a tad late for that, don't you think? JoCo gave...
