I would have taken the same stores just built with a more urban design in mind.

I think they are adding it in the back of the current Empire room. Kind of like how XO had that bar in the back they called something else? I'm not sure but I think that's what it is.

I wouldn't vote yes out of fear that the Chiefs and Royals would leave. I don't see that as a real possibility at this point.

I was heading out about 8pm last night and saw the SWAT team and about 20 cars gathering at 12th & Broadway at the big parking lot in front of KC Southern. Get home and see something happened at 8th & Central......can't find anything on it, anybody know what was up?

The cop I talked to said most people they catch committing crimes in this area do not live in the area. Including the teens that robbed and killed that dude last month in the parking lot.

Dan, the KS side of mission hills is 66205 which includes some not high priced areas of Mission, etc. 64112 and 113 are the MO side of mission hills/ward parkway area. I couldn't believe they weren't higher on the list.

I'm most interested in the state making deals with certain tribes....if they are going to allow gambling, shouldn't they allow any tribes to open up where they want?

This will be interesting to follow. My prediction is neither one of these proposals are built.
