Behold! Old posts are now accessible! Or at least they are for me. Thankfully all I had to do was muddle through phpbb's convoluted update system.

Turns out it's a chinese attack. I'm working on it.

I saw the shit performance for myself. I've updated the forum to the latest version. I sincerely hope this will fix any further issues.

By the time chrizow brought it to my attention earlier today, performance appeared to be where it should be, so I will need to dive into the logs to see if I can find what went wrong, if anything. In any case, i patched and rebooted the server just now.

I just updated you to the default theme. Unfortunately, the other theme isn't compatible with this version of phpbb. Sorry for the trouble.

I would like to use this to tweet links to forum discussions. It doesn't appear to have been touched in over 8 years.

Turns out the ability for users to choose their own style was disabled. I managed to dig up the option and re-enable it.

I installed and enabled Absolution, and while I do like how it looks, I'm not crazy about the spacing out of everything, and the sideways scrolling it does in the smaller window I use for firefox.

The first two are not compatible with the latest version of phpbb, but the last is. Let me have a look.

I deleted the theme we were using. It's totally broken, and was filled with spammy links to some dude's russian gaming site. If there's sufficient outrage, I'll look into grabbing a new theme and installing it. Feel free to go peruse available themes(called "styles" in phpbb) and link any ...

So, I'd been putting off getting the forum updated to the latest version of phpBB, as the automated process is not quite as automated as I would hope. But I just bit my lip and did it. Let's never speak of this again.
